I finally got myself a Sage 1... and I'm very impressed. :D

The build quality, the feel of the carbon fiber (first CF Spydie for me), the way it fits my hand, the weight... I love it.

I was carrying a Manix 2 before because I really liked the way it fit my hand, but it's a bit overly heavy and ...

I've got both and I do prefer the 360. There are more exclusive games that I like and I greatly prefer the 360 controller to the PS3, so with any cross-platform game, I'll opt for the 360 version, and mainly use my PS3 as a Blu-Ray or DVD player.

The PS3 is easily better than the 360 for media/home ...

Yesterday was my mother's birthday, and I got her a Dragonfly Tattoo. I knew she'd like it, but as soon as she saw it she pretty much said it's too pretty to use. She doesn't want to "mess it up"!

The Sage 2 seems to be an awesome platform for customization! (Although this is a bit of an abstract "customization". ) Your "controlled aging" looks really sweet. Makes me want one that much more.

All three variants of the Sage are current production models, so nothing to worry about at the moment. :)

I'm sure somebody else might know more, but I suspect that at some point Spyderco will start phasing out variants (possibly as more variants are released). That's just my suspicion, though, and ...

Thanks a lot! :) That's actually quite a lot bigger difference in length than I expected. (4 5/8 closed on the Manix vs. 4 3/16 on the Sage didn't sound like much in my head.)

Only you can decide if it's worth the money, but the Cricket is a fantastic little knife that can be had for almost half that price if you shop around. :)

What are you looking for in a knife? If you want something that's low-key and office-friendly, the Cricket fits the bill perfectly.
