I have a Dragonfly etched and like it very much. It´s not too heavy with strong spring, fit and finish are excellent, no play, couldn´t be better. The bevel on the spine not only looks good but is also still usable for pressure cuts, great job, Ed Schempp. I love the Delica 4 screw construction and ...

Sorry, Peter, your statement is a little short and the last sentence probably is wrong. I wanted to write the following in an earlier thread but never did. Now I have completed it and think this is a suitable current thread for it. The German Weapon Law is a little more complex concerning knives tha...

/unlist me, I love the Delicas. Especially their ergos are very versatile and the best I can imagine. There are several other models with choil. So I see no need for making them all the same like I see no need for putting the same lock in every model. Variety is an important point in the Spyderco mo...

Well, I know it´s hard to find other EDC models if you love the Delica. Since I got it I EDC the D4W PE and lately with the D4 SS SE, which has become my main tool. Before the Delicas the Paramili has been my first EDC. So my suggestion is Paramilitary PE/SE as 2nd EDC. The Compression Lock is a nic...

1987-1988, 15 Month military service in the German Army (one of your NATO partners ;) ) in Eschweiler near Aachen and Westerburg in the cold Westerwald Forrest as Waelomech (weapons mechanic electrician) Leopard II (tank) and handguns (that never showed up) - it was a glorious time, I was in perfect...

Congrats to the Paramili, it´s one of the best folders in the world and it still would be my 2nd EDC if it were legal in Germany. The off-center blades are nothing to worry about safety-wise. It´s only an optical issue. They are like the vertical play in some midlocks/backlocks , only it couldn´t be...

Well, as you can clearly tell, I highly recommend it  ... Sorry?? Would it qualify to fill it with a wooden plug or maybe epoxy??? I'm thinking you could convex both sides of either material to allow one hand open without looking like it?? Just a thought.... That is such a strange regulation (...

Improved how?? Everything about this knife works very well IMO (though I couldn't bring myself to pay that much for it  Wow!) Ken My D´Allara and Dodo have lax detents, which seems to be there only weak point. I´m not keen on an opening Spydiblade in my pocket. :D The price for the Phoenix see...

German prices for the Phoenix are between 390 $ and at least 453 $. Plus it is basically illegal to carry it in Germany. With a small functionless Spyderhole it most probably wouldn´t be. ;) Apart from this it´s an appealing design. By the way, is there an improvement in the detent? Besides, nice se...

Glad I could be of help :) As for the Ronin, it's designed by MJ himself around his MBC concept, so I'd expect it to excel in the whole slicing of muscles and tendons, which are the primary targets that he recommends for instant stopping power (as opposed to eventual death caused by stabbing.) I wa...

JD Spydo, very well said! Except IIRC Michael Janich once wrote, he likes to start cuts with serrations and pull through with the plain part of the blade, what would make CE blades his favorits. I´m not sure about that though. Nevertheless I just bought his awesome Blackhawk Kalista in PE. Be...
