Re: Removing this bastard lanyard tube?

How about popping it in the freezer for a while? The metal may contract sufficiently to be a looser fit.

Might also work for rebuilding.

I'd like to point out that Stew did a stellar job handling the project and it really was far more stress than he has indicated. We'd be happy to work with Stew on any future projects.

Thank you.

It definitely gave me deeper respect for those that do any sort of retail!

Re: Elmax Urban LW (British Blades Forum knife) - a big thank you to Spyderco and Sal .... & Stew!

There's one for sale on Edgematters right now for £80. In comparison, the recent sprint run of the Urban in AEB-L is up for sale from a retailer for £89.90 brand new. I think £80 is still a good deal. Scuze my ignorance but...what is Edgematters ... a retailer ? Sorry - should have said. It's a UK ...

Re: Elmax Urban LW (British Blades Forum knife) - a big thank you to Spyderco and Sal .... & Stew!

Well, I am glad for the reminder. I may have to look into getting one of these. The guy at BB really angered a lot of members when he refused to sell the knife to people overseas. I think he ended up getting stuck with a bunch of these and they ended up going to retailers because of it. I no longer...

Well I hope you like it. :) As well as sending a few out, I pushed for the model to be the Urban having briefly used one in the past and was the one that wanted Elmax.

Re: Elmax Urban LW (British Blades Forum knife) - a big thank you to Spyderco and Sal

I got on the 2nd list, but Stew PMed me and said that there will be no more international orders fulfilled :( Seems like they aren't fulfilling original international orders either. I dunno, maybe he's just that busy. Yes I am that busy with it. It's rather stressful dealin with the entire process ...

Re: Amsterdam Meet 2015 report of upcoming Spyderco prototypes

the wharnclif portion of blade toward the tip seems like it'd be perfect for cutting on a cutting board with your hand picked up slightly. I'm very excited for this one, as it seems almost like a larger dodo, with a more useful belly. :D cool That blade doesn't have a wharncliffe tip (unless you me...

Re: Amsterdam Meet 2015 report of upcoming Spyderco prototypes

The Mike Draper - sleek like a fighter jet! Not keen on the handle design either but I could learn to get past that.

Filip's one just seems, er, weird! That blade would have to be a try before you buy!!!

High end Pingo! That'll keep plenty happy! :D

Essentially Chris Claycomb's Bushcraft handle (but in solid Carbon Fiber) and a full flat utility shaped blade (designed by Chris) in CPM-S90V. Not made for Bushcrafting, but for general utility, but with a Bushcraft handle that can be used all day every day without any "hot spots" develo...

I don't envisage needing the ARK for it's intended use but for a handy, no rust knife to have around - I can see it as a winner!

Re: Poll - UKPK Sprint Steel Choice

I think I would be happy with either blade shape if I'm honest.

I have a S30V Orange G10 leaf and a cheaper steel frn leaf so know I like the leaf but also happy with some variation. I also think that the drop point looks less aggresive!

52100 will be such a good noticeably different choice to the stainless steels. :)
