Re: Titanium Military question
Thanks for the feed back. The blade is amazing. Feels like it could be a custom piece.

Titanium Military question
Got a Titanium Millie when they were on close out sale from a reputable knife distributor.
My question is: seems like the coating on the titanium is quite fragile. It scratches easily, and comes off when rubbed.
I wiped it down with ballistol to see if that would rejuvenate it, and it seems just ...

Re: Which handgun do you pair with which Spyderco for EDC?
Today it's a Walther PPK with a Spyderco C01 Worker.
Two old school, all-steel companions that have a lot of history behind them. I like traditional things.

Re: Finally obtained a SS C01 Worker.
The new worker sprint was not far from $250!!
I know, I've looked at that model and the price just turned me away. We're talking G10 scales on a lock back, not hand fitted titanium frame locks.
Further, I like historical items, and only the SS Worker would fit that bill. More and more I find ...

Re: Finally obtained a SS C01 Worker.
What a great score! It looks like your patience has paid off. My concern with waiting for decent prices on discontinued knives is that the price will just continue to rise or that you will never find it again. I guess they level out eventually but its hard not to scoop up a BNIB when you find it ...

Finally obtained a SS C01 Worker.
I don't post here as much as I used to, but I figure I should come back to show off my pristine C01 Worker with stainless scales. The box dates to '97, and it is serrated (my preference).
For YEARS, i've looked for a New SS Worker, and for years, the prices were just plain ridiculous (ie: 250 ...

Breeden Rescue Question
Hello. I just purchased a NIB Jason Breeden Rescue. I love the blade, and I figured I'd kick myself if I didn't pick one of these up while they are still available.
My question is about the liner lock. How far over is the liner supposed to engage on the tang when the knife is brand new? I attached ...

Thanks for the replies. I really don't think the one I have is defective.
I am in fact referring to the FRN shackle body where it meets the FRN handle. It seems that wiggling the shackle body back and forth (away and toward) the handle scale gets some slight wiggle--I can even see the whole shackle ...

Snap-it model question
Hello all. I've been a member here for a while. I have a quick question to ask all those Snap-It model owners.
I just received a NIB red Snap-it with the G-2 blade. I can tell it's new.
I wanted to know if the shackle on the Snap-it is normally built to have some degree of 'play' back and forth ...

Tens years of collecting spyders...
I haven't posted here quite as often as I used to, but today I thought I'd make a post just to express my thoughts today after purchasing a Delica.
I've been collecting Spyderco knives for 10 years now, and I've owned uncountably many models. Today I went into a local camping/hiking store here in ...

Calypso Jr. and Standard
Hi all. I have a quick inquiry. I own two Caly Jr.'s (a burgundy ZDP, and a grey VG-10) and also a few Standards (C05, I believe). My question is, 'Are the hole diameters of these two models the exact same? I can see that the Caly Jr. and Standard models have holes that are slightly smaller than the ...

I think you might be overestimating the amount of time the blade is rubbing the liner. It takes some effort to depress the blade fully into the handle and besides intentionally doing it I don't see it happening much. It's not like as you walk the tip will be dancing back and forth within the handle ...

Just ordered a Centofante IV...some questions.
I just ordered a Centofante IV. I've been a fan of the Spyderco Wharncliffe ever since the Yojimbo got the reputation of cutting like no other blade before its time (and perhaps since, as well). A few questions:
1) I've done some searching on this forum for general remarks on the Cento IV, and would ...
