I know, I have four of them. Seems most people forget the first one was black G-10. The very first model was developed as a collaboration between Spyderco and the British Blades Forum. And yes, it was Black G10. :) Then there were released Foliage Green G10 and Orange G10, and thats t...

I've been carrying a Pingo for about a month, off and on. I love it. It does 99.9% of the work I need done.

Not in the factories the vast majority of US manufacturers use in HK and Mainland China. In fact those factories are much healthier to work in than the ones in NYC, which is why they are not used by many companies. There is no one more anti communist than myself, and I'm not a "stoner," no...

Don't kid yourself that similar abuses don't happen in China. Every now & then, someone smuggles out a memory card with images or video showing what actually goes on in some of China's less reputable factories. Often on the outskirts of the nation where poor folks from country villages go to tr...

"Made in China" pays my mortgage. For 25+ years my wife has worked in the fashion industry, where 60% of production happens in Hong Kong and mainland China, some in South America as well, some here in the USA. Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indian, those are the countries where 6 year olds are chai...

Leave your good knives at home, bring a small non locking SAK with you if you have to. What is law and how John Q. Law reacts to those laws are two different things. Do yourself a favor, leave them home.

We get them down here in Putnam County NY. Great dogs, really great dogs. Ketchup is only allowed if you are under 6 or over 66. And no chicago dogs don't count, only NY hot dogs are "hot dogs."

SE is the only edge for me and I've faithfully carried at least one serrated Spyderco on, or very near me, for the past 10 years. It is so easy to sharpen on a SharpMaker as it only takes one step. Spyderco serrations go through "bones like butter." Sometimes I'll use a leather boot lace w...

Really? Not the ones I've seen on NGK. Still the Manbug is a wee bit beefier, and has a better name imho.

The Manbug challenge

OK, I just bought a Manbug to replace the worn out Ladybug I usually match with my Vic Executive during the colder part of the year. I have to say I was quite happy to retire the old girl as the Manbug SE is a serious step up from the Ladybug for one major reason....an adjustable pivot. See the Lady...

Just stopping by to say hi, and to show off my new Spyderco.

Hey everyone, I have to say its been a long, long while since I've bought a new Spyderco. For the past couple of years I've carried either a Victorinox Outrider (summer) or a Vic Executive, Spyderco Ladybug combo. Both have served me well, but the other day I was flipping through my copy of the new ...
