I never would have guessed that as there are spiral looking grooves in the hole like something spun around as it cut it. Lasers do that when they cut?

1. What does Spyderco use for a lubricant on it's knives before they leave the factory?
2. Is the Spyder hole drilled or stamped out of the blades?

Good afternoon. I just wanted to say hello. I'm new to the forum but not new to Spyderco. I currently have a Manix and a Delica and love them both. I've been "lurking" for a while and decided to sign up and partake in the fun.
