Favorite "gentleman's" knife?

When dressed up - at work, church, etc - I usually carry the Delica PE FRN. The blade on the Delica is kind of borderline "PC"... I'm looking for something in a 2.5" blade... I was thinking maybe the Dragonfly. Anyway, what do you guys usually carry as your "PC" EDC? I need ...

I'm gonna have some engraving done and then put up pics. I never knew the back lock on this baby was so beefy. I love everything about it. A very impressive knife. I was breathtaken when I opened it - and its not like I've never seen a nice Spyderco before. Spyderco never ceases to please. :spyder: ...

Congrats and man that's cool!!! So...you could carry a Cold Steel Vaquero Grande as long as it fits folded in pocket? However, you'd get charged with a misdemeanor for Cold Steel MiniPal on the keychain that has about an inch of blade, right? :p God bless  That's exactly the case. I know seve...

It's so beautiful.

UPS lost the package all right. They lost it on my front porch. I called UPS and they still report it as being lost in their sort facility in San Diego. I just got home and it was next to my ficus plant. All is not lost. A ray of sunshine, a chorus of angels. My Manix is home. It is a work of art, a...

So here's the update.

I called UPS again to get an exact ETA. You can use this as a weapon in your "UPS never makes mistakes" conversation. UPS LOST the package at their San Diego sort facility. They don't know where it is. They don't know what happened to it. They don't know when (or IF) I'll get it. And what ...

myocardial infarction in a 27 year old is possible, thogh extremly rare. ventricular arrhythmia is also rare unless you are on Cocain. But it could have been PVC. A tachycardia would simulate what you had. But other than that UPS sucks horribly Yeah, I just checked. Ventricular fibrillation (then i...

[quote="BlackNinja"]I had the same BS happen to me with UPS  . After a half hour wait to talk to a supervisor(in which I listened to "what brown can do for you." Fu***** joke)she told me that it was IMPOSSIBLE for UPS to make a mistake. I said, wait a minute you mean to tell...

Pretty unlikely that a 27 year old would actually have a heart attack. Anxiety attack, yes. Chest pain, yes. Arrhythmia, maybe. Heart attack (myocardial infarction) very unusual. Cocaine or a terrible family history of early coronary artery disease plus cigarette smoking. If you really did have a h...

heart attacks arent funny. Have you had one? Yeah - actually I had a minor one 18 months ago. I've since lost 80 lbs and am fit as a fiddle. I don't want another one. I'm REALLY pissed at UPS though... I'm ready to blow a fuse. Oh - and no, I have NO patience. :D Especially with UPS. I love their &...

I'm having a heart attack.

The Manix that I ordered last wednesday was delayed in getting out the door... and now that it's been shipped and due to arrive THIS MORNING, GOOD OLD UPS SCREWED UP THE SHIPMENT AND I WON'T HAVE IT UNTIL THURSDAY. Breate... breathe... I just want my new knife. It will all be okay when I have my new...

Damned if I didn't measure it with a protractor and found out that it is NOT inclusive. The lowest setting of 18 degrees gives you 36 degrees inclusive. I guess I'd have to set the guide rods deeper into the stones and use a protractor to line them up with what angle I want. How much does THAT suck?...

I have to respectfully disagree with rycen on the inclusive angle. I held my Lansky clamp up to the Sharpmaker, and the 20 degree hole on the Lansky lines up perfetc with the rod set at 40 degrees, so I think the "20" degree setting on the Lansky isn't inclusive, but instead 40 degrees in...

Thanks for the help guys. I'll go with the 25 setting. It does seem to match the sharpmaker 30 fairly well. The Lansky doesn't seem to do the "finishing touch" quite like the sharpmaker does. Like an idiot - I was setting the guide rod all the way into the stone. Next time I'll read the di...

Lansky sharpener?

My sharpmaker really isn't that great at restoring a damaged edge. It does fantastic at maintenance work and minor edge repair - but not so good on heavy repair work. So I've got a Lansky. My question is - the angles on Lansky systems aren't the same as on the Sharpmaker. I'm putting a new edge on m...

Just got my Para Military - PICS!

I'm speechless. This knife is just beautiful - I'm totally amazed with it. Solid, fits my hand perfectly, perfect blade size and weight - like it was made just for me. Looks badass too. It's way easier to do the inertia opening with this one too. I love it. My new favorite knife. I'm thinking of buy...
