for F/B I carry a Cold Steel Urban Pal or an Emerson La Griffe. either one fits in a pocket, on a keychain or around the neck. My main considerations in a F/B are concealability and speed accessing it. Either of these work for me

I make sure any knife I carry is legal mainly because I have a CWP. Since it's legal for me to carry a pistol, (as well as a sap or blackjack at least in most parts of the state) it seems pretty foolish of me to risk getting busted for a knife. Butterflys, autos, gravity knives are illegal to carry,...

If you were an animal, what type of Spyderco would you carry?

If I was a (choose any type of animal) my favorite Spyderco would be (pick your model) because......

If I was a lion, I'd pick a Military because it would help me bringing down my dinner.

Since I already have a Standard (similar to a Delica) and a stainless Cara Cara (similar enough to a Police to satisfy me) I'll pass on the contest in favor of other members. Nice offer tho.

Question about 2007 catalogue

I can't access the 2007 catalogue so wanted to ask if there were any new H-1 steel models listed, different from the current Salt model lineup? Thanks in advance for any replies.

I usually carry a Standard and a La Griffe. The next thing to carry will probably be a swick. I don't buy many knives, the standard I've been carrying off and on for 27 years

I would think the best model would be the one you have on you at the time.
Having said that, I like models with a finger hole (for the index, not little finger).

And, those Boker button-lock knives, is it possible to open them the same way? I like the idea of a gravit...

I agree with the previous poster who recommended a sap. I would add as an alternative a blackjack. I have no police or military background but after extensive reading on what the best weapon that could fit into a pocket might be, short of a pistol, many with far more experience than I in such matter...

The Standard is a good knife, I have a Standard Economy that's over 20 years old, been an EDC item for years. No rust, no blade play, except for a few scratches it's in good shape.

I'm surprised no one mentioned a double barrel side by side, wih 18-20 inch barrels. Like a Rossi coach gun. Yes, only 2 shots but here are the advantages: Lighter Won't jam Quick follow up shot Can give both barrels if needed. Yes, I'm low-tech. I carry revolvers instead of automatics so that'll te...
