Re: Lansky spyder serrations sharpener.

Hi Sal,

What are your recommendations when using the Sharpmaker for H1 Steel specifically the Pacific Salt and the Salt 2, 20 degrees or 15? Medium, Fine or Ultra Fine?

Thanks.

Re: H1 Revisited

Why is there a concern that Spyderco as the only company producing production knives in H1 will cease doing so? Is It because of the emergence and popularity of LC200N in recent years? Has Sal said something to cause this thinking? Seems to me they are both unique and have a place in the line up. La...

Re: Bento Box M390 PM2 Re-Release on July 19th

Couldn't they have at least done this in DLC? Why a 4th Satin run? DLC with that Smurf Blue would look great and probably would sell even faster than another Satin run. And it would be unique enough to make the price a little more palatable. Look at ebay sales which they sell on there is your answer.

Re: H1 Revisited

Oh and I compared the Salt2 to the Pacific Salt and I think the extra sharpness is coming from a thinner blade stock.

Re: H1 Revisited

Last night I was doing some home repairs and did something I would never do with a more expensive knife, or a more brittle steel. I had to cut some dry wall out and decided to use the Salt 2 as it was in my pocket. It cut the dry wall nicely and shaved the paper coating down a bit with ease. Closed ...

Re: Bento Box M390 PM2 Re-Release on July 19th

I guess I am missing something. These are supposed to be sprint runs right? I thought that meant Sold Once then done. Looks like this is no longer the case. If this is the case then that is fine by me never liked the idea of sprints anyway. As for the price difference not discussing shipping as we ...

Re: H1 Revisited

Well I must admit I really love the Salt2 In DLC SE. So much so in fact I just purchased the Salt2 DLC in Plain edge should be interesting to see what the edge retention and sharpening is all about. This is kind of odd for me preferring a smaller knife over it's larger counterpart the Pacific Salt i...

Re: Chief 1st sprint opinion poll

I prefer Cruwear in this design followed by CTS-XHP. recently sold 3 LC200N Spydies and am good with that. At first LC200N really got my attention big time but over time could not hold it. Lots of positives but H1 fills those in just fine. The only time I need extreme corrosion resistance is working...

Re: How can we get more women interested in Spyderco knives?

Raise your girl children to appreciate fine Spyderco cutlery. Other than that luck really that my girlfriend likes her PM2 in S110V was a real shock to me at first.

She saw my collection and her eyes got wide when I said pick one and it’s yours.

Who knew she liked blurple. I do know color counts.

Re: Saber Grinds Revisited: Love, Hate, Indifference?

Last week I was breaking down some cardboard with my Broken Skull and my buddy I gifted my Pacific Salt To came up to me and said hey you were right. I said about what? He said I’ve been carrying the knife you gave me and even though it’s bigger than my Benchmade I don’t notice it in my pocket, it i...

DLC is not nearly appreciated as much as it should be. TKO83SPY changed my thinking on this. A wee bit of mineral oil and some flitz in the tube an good as new. Advice should come in the box OI!

Re: Manix 2 Cruwear Smooth G10

Got mine about a week ago, can’t believe how small it is in hand compared to the XL, the Native Chief, the Broken Skull by Cold Steel, OH yeah awesome Triad lock and CTS-XHP lovin it! Smooth G-10 is still weird feeling do not like it, Cruwear saves the design for me. I have owned Manix 2 in S110V an...

H1 Revisited

Recently I purchased a Spyderco Pacific Salt with Black Blade and also a Salt2 with black blade. Both are SE. Previously I gave my Pacific Salt SE with satin blade to a friend who bought a boat but missed it and decided to go black this time and also give the Salt2 in black blade a try. The Pacific ...

Re: Spyderco 2019 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

Glad I ordered one yesterday. Just looked and now they are not showing in stock but typically shipping within 5 to 7 business days. Guessing we cleared them out of stock but they have more coming? Don’t have allot if experience with this seller other than a bad preorder experience. Is this how they ...

Thanks RamZar,

Smooth scales or not Cruwear in a Manix 2 is a fine purchase.

Can always change them. Just bought one thanks to you.

Re: Sorry for your loss TazKristi!

There are no words that adequately express the loss of a parent. I know this from experience. This will be with you for the rest of your life. Now everything has changed. In time it will hurt less, differently and more tolerably but will always matter, from this day forward all is different and it w...
