Cruwear Collection

My Cruwear collection is as follows: 1. Spyderco Military 1. Spyderco Paramilitary 2 1. Spyderco Para 3 1. Manix 2 2. Delica The Paramilitary 2 was the one with smooth scales replaced those with some Paramilitary 2 black normal textured for this series scales. Loved the smooth scales but it kept sli...

Re: Jumpmaster 2 for large hands?

Like Sal I too wear extra Large gloves and own the Jumpmaster 2. The first time I held it not yet being familiar with the hook at the end it felt a bit cramped, but within a very sort time I let that notion go after using it. In use did not feel cramped at all. The ergonomics are very good the blade...

Re: Serrated H-1 vs. Serrated LC200N?

I can tell you one thing for certain I bent the teeth on my Jumpmaster2, Spatchcocking a turkey cutting through the bones next to the spine. The H1 bent rather than break off. LC200N likely would have broke as would S30V and other harder steels. the H1 serrations were very easy to fix as well. Some...

Re: Sprints

Part of the original question was how we feel about Sprints. My feelings towards how they have been marketed in the past year are so very negative to the point where I started not buying rather than continue to support a way of selling that my feelings abhor for many reasons. As for how I feel... ab...

Re: Sprints

I think a possible solution here is to make a system like the collector's club for forum members where pre-orders are literally pre-sales where sprints are paid for up front and then production is based on the total number of pre-sales plus maybe a bit more to cover any possible warranty/replacemen...

With virtually every single Sprint Run of the past year selling out in about 3.8 seconds, I also think it would make sense for Spyderco to increase Sprint numbers.
Well said!

I've had these for over 20 years. Ordered when Murray was still living and working in Japan:

Re: Kitchen Knives

Last night I wound up using the Enso Hahahaha ;) That's a good one! Bloked! Ah, hahaha! I’m imagining Does preparing a romantic meal for his girl wearing a chefs hat, apron and Y front underpants. Explaining to her the finer points of knife sharpening and how he’ll get these new knives much sharper...

Re: Kitchen Knives

Last night I wound up using the Enso 5.5 inch Prep knife VG-10 steel some more and loved it so much I just ordered the 7 inch version. Now that I am actually using Kitchen knives in the kitchen my Spyderco Folders are returning to the role of pocket knife for opening packages etc. Oddly enough I am ...

Kitchen Knives

Once upon a time some members said to me.... essentially why are you using folders in the kitchen?? pretty much intimated I was a fool. Well recently I decided to figure out their position. Purchased a Masamoto 210MM Gyuto chef knife, a 6 inch Kai Deba and a 5.5 inch Enzo Utility knife. They are all...

Re: Shot Show 2020 anticipation

PM2 Tanto Was it not said the Military 2 will use a stop lock? Either way a Military2 is way past due and would make sense seeing how few Militaries if any were released in the past year. Can’t recall any. Like the idea of a shorter stretch but request fully serrated edge. Shorter Hundred Pacer, Sal...

Stretched straight spine sounds like a Police 4 on a Stretch grip.

Meh
Very different blades. police 4 is not really close, I imagine When the SS Stretch comes out it will be same as it is now only a bit longer.

Guess work of course but let’s wait and see.

Re: Stretched Stretch - continued from Straight spine thread

Well my friend we have done our best to be Spyderco Ambassador’s and help fill people’s hand with greatness. On that topic, I was EDC’ing my Para3’s this week both the cruwear and the S30V full SE blade. Out of the two I prefer the superior cutting ability of the SE in this form factor. There has be...

Lol I own them, Ha,Ha,Ha. My SS Stretch is coming back into rotation for more tinkering with the blade right now it is in a not usable state.

It's what happens when you get so many different people, with different backgrounds, views and preferences. Perks of a public forum, surprises me when people are surprised by a diversity of comments/views...
