Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

I'm forcing myself to carry one my my 2 Manix2's (Maxamet or blacked out S30V) for the entire month of November. I've obtained too many knives this past year and only para3 variants have been in the mix. Variety is the spice of life they say, so the neglected Manix2 will get some love. I'm jealous S...

Curious about this as well, and really like the looks of it. Is it harder to coat than dlc and does it hold up as well?

Re: 2019-2020 NCAAM Basketball is here!

Definitely looked impressive considering MSU is more of a veteran team. Looks like the blue bloods are light on the bigger non-conference schedules this year compared to years past.. Not sure I like the new 3 point line, shooting from the sides may cause problems since they didn't widen the court......

Re: Mule Team

No just set it on a small stand and moved on to the next. I made a small jig for Kydex and have a sheath made for about 10 mules of various colors but have only purchased MT leather sheaths for the "nicer" scale material. I'll try leather before long once I learn more and purchase the correct tools...

Re: Mule Team

Thanks Chad! Maybe one day I'll be able to work them like you and others...maybe :D Thank you, but it looks to me like you're already there. Pin placement looks good, the decorative pin looks nice, contouring looks nice, the pins do not appear to be standing "proud" above the scales (which can be a...

2019-2020 NCAAM Basketball is here!

Since I sacrificed a couple hours sleep last night watching my Cats fight some Spartans, I thought I'd get the ball rolling :D

Spring may launch it's eternal hope but here in the Bluegrass, fall springs crazy expectations.....Let the season begin!

Re: Mule Team

Nice work fixall! Around these parts, it is hot weather knife projects. And I have a couple of PD#1 Mules waiting for July to roll around. I did several this summer but only pinned two, the others were removable scales in various G10/Micarta combos. I'm still learning and having fun with it. Played...

Almost there! The rear of the knife needs to be thinned a bit... But it's getting close!

P.S.
PD#1 is a heck of a steel!
Looks good fixall! PD#1 is a great steel, I have a couple laid out for some cold weather knife projects just have to decide on scale material.

I'm with you Doc, even after using my other devices I'll break out the SM to clean up burrs and blend in scratch patterns. My sharpening skills are still novice but with the SM my results are consistent and hair-popping sharp. :spyder:

Re: We are saved! Baseball Season is here!

I'm happy for the Nats fans and this was a really entertaining series. I'm also glad those terrible ump calls didn't become the deciding factors.
