Goddard the Great, like so often.
This time on another hike.
A real "cross over folder" for both "urban" EDC and the outdoors.
Sometimes wish it had a comboedge though, like my thin red line Endura.

Re: Recommendations for a European traditionalist
What I did not totally get so far: - Do you, Palestrina, just want "dabble" into the world of modern folders a bit, but stay as close to "traditional" as possible (in this case perhaps something like a Chaparral with wood scales and its liners would be a good choice, also great ...

Re: Can we get some Ultem scaled Sekis please?
I’d much rather have FRN. Other than being translucent, Ultem is an inferior material in every way. I haven´t really looked into Ultem, so I am not in a position to talk about or compare it. Just saying that also if Spyderco wanted to go translucent, they´d have their FRCP for that... (don´t know t...

Re: Sal, a handle forward Lil Native?
One advantage this idea would have is a cutting edge as long as the Chaparral. The Chaparral is really hard to beat, I know. I have two and wonderful knives they are. The LN would benefit and still keep the blade legal in most places, though. Doc, just to be sure: Your idea would mean indeed, that,...

Re: Sal, a handle forward Lil Native?
...Completely different story with the Native 5: HERE a choil actually makes the LEAST sense imho. A choil-less Native 5 would, differently to the Lil Native, definitely offer enough space on the handle for almost all hand sizes AND give us more cutting edge. Win-win in my book. While the current N...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Nicely done, Nick! :grin-big eyes I like playing frisbee quite a bit too: Did a bit of ultimate a long time ago, now just very (!) basic freestyle-stuff and recreational throwing for fun. Thanks! :respect I played Ultimate back in high school but now I just play disc golf. I’ve played for many year...

Re: Recommendations for a European traditionalist
Man, we can´t let that happen! This is not only about knives, it is about fundamental principles. The right to carry perhaps the oldest tool of mankind stripped away from each and every Austrian for no logical reason and without any data to support this (in Germany and especially in the UK there ar...

Deleted. Sorry, Too political. sal I actually read your post before you deleted it, Sal. And I wholeheartedly agree and its good to know that there are still a lot of reasonable, decent people like you out there with common sense and valuing freedoms. But, yes, quite political, my apologies if I we...

Does anybody else's unread notifications for threads your subscribed to show up like this? Then once it's clicked on, then it's contents are able to be seen. https://i.postimg.cc/ZnTxHtM6/Screenshot-20240316-073923-Samsung-Internet.jpg Whoa, Rick, that's mostly my icon there... did I really quote y...

Re: Forum Update/Maintenance & Move - PLEASE READ
Just realized: I don't get e mail notifications anymore when I get quoted / someone replies to a post of mine... and yes, I did check if all the relevant boxes are clicked correctly: They are.
Does not really bother me though, just thought I'd still mention it.

The one single downside of the new forum design (among several clear improvements!) I can see so far: The vids here don't work anymore. Re: Recommendations for a European traditionalist
... As Wartstein said, our minister of interior affairs just announced they are working on a bill to restrict knives basically the same way as Germany or the UK does, so if this bill should pass it's going to be a UK PK or Lil Native Slipit anyways :) .... Man, we can´t let that happen! This is not...

Re: Salt color differences
Hah.. learning something new every once in a while. I had somehow come to the understanding that all Golden LWs were FRCP. Anyhow, I also had similar concerns as you when I got my Native salt. The yellow color was noticeably different than the Seki salts I already owned. It is also my impression th...
