Well, yes. Though I've tried so hard to hide it, I always knew my knives would expose me in the end.. :grin-squint

Re: BladeHQ Native 5 M4 mint green dropping Dec. 3

I really like the cool looks of the Native, also the no-ramp-design. Function-. and ergowise it can´t match my Chap FRN, that´s why I sold my FRN Native. But this one looks interesting, just for trying M4.... but as Ramonade said, shipping, tariff, taxes included it might be up to twice the price ti...

Re: Suggestions for next Spyderco

To be clear: I never owned one myself (so far), but I´d also suggest the Sage 5 LW over the Para 3 LW (which I had and tried for a good month lately) from all I know and can see. Why?: Thinner blade, presumably better slicer (this is what folks also found in the few GOOD comparison vids I saw) Still...

Re: What's your favorite model to OPEN?

Para 3 (for obvious reasons) and Endura, believe it or not , I enjoy how it feels when it clicks in place. I also have a zip tie on it. I totally believe you! ;) When asked what´s my favorite model to open, it has to be a backlock knife for sure, and out of those I´d probably go with the Endura too...

Re: Byrd knife in a Spyderco box

Did you order from Amazon? No, I don't order Spydies from Amazon (to be honest: I perhaps would do so with a Byrd Meadowlark if I needed one urgently as a gift and could not find one anywhere else). It was a reputable European dealer I actually never had any issues with (this box-thing is not an ac...

When a knife dealer says in a video "heavier use", they mean using it to open beers and unscrew some philips. Usually means the knife won't perform as a knife :rofl

Well, even for those tasks thinner bladestock (spines) might actually be better... :smirk

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!

Ok, below are my two choices for this week. Despite there were actually not very many to choose from, it was a really tough decision. Some great pics this week! Of course I did not consider at all if I actually like the knife in the pic and also not who made the pic (so no "posts a lot / I agre...

Re: Caly 3.5 Light Weight: Any News?

My FRN Chaparral has nested/embedded liners and I love it. My FRN Caly Jr has no nested/embedded liners and I love it. Let Spyderco engineers decide. Yes to that. Yes to that too. And as an addition: I think the Chap is an (the only??) FRN Spyderco that actually NEEDS liners. It is so thin (general...

.... Smart and rational thinking. Sal said Byrd was looking to upgrade their budget steel in the not too distant future. Byrd knife in a Spyderco box

The Byrd Meadowlark is a knife I always like to gift to people not (yet) into knives. - They tend to not carry something large as their first EDC folder, and the Meadowlark is small, but still of a useful size - It has a steel that is really good for learning how to sharpen - It is well made, and a ...

Welp, got the new chaparral. The lock is _way_ easier to use than I remember my last one. Maybe I got an especially stiff setup last time.

Knife is great though.
That's good!

The Chap is hard to beat if one wants a small actual cutting tool.

Chaparral FRN.

In my personal "size categories it falls into the "smallest-I´d-go / tiny" slot.
