Re: An ongoing mystery: Why still no ffg Manix 2 SE? (NOT meant as a complaint)
That has not been my experience. I've found that serrations cut some tough materials better than a plain edge. When the job is complete, the serrated edge is still suitable for continued use, while the plain edge can be disappointingly degraded. For this reason, if I think I'm going to encounter so...

Re: An ongoing mystery: Why still no ffg Manix 2 SE? (NOT meant as a complaint)
I am a huge SE fan. Almost all my Spydies are SE or CE. That said, I don’t really understand what keeps Spyderco making SE versions of so many of their knives. My observation is serrations are almost unknown in the folder world today. If serrated folders were profitable surely there would be a lot ...

Re: An ongoing mystery: Why still no ffg Manix 2 SE? (NOT meant as a complaint)
I've been away for a while...haven't had much in the last few reveals to entice me. Has this topic ever gotten an answer or maybe a hint that we will be getting one in the future? Just me over here sticking to the SE salts I'm used to... No, nothing on that front, at least from all I know... I am s...

Said it (often) before:
This knife in a lightweight version (just like the Manix 2 LW) would be an instant buy for me - even more so in that classic St. Nicks configuration (love my St Nicks Goddard, especially the steel!)

Re: Benchmade Water Series (salt series?)
The small Adira looks nice but I'm not in a rush. I am afraid that pronounced and "sharp" pinky hook on the rather short handle could be a problem (so that larger hand perhaps don´t have enough space between front guard and pinky hook and the pinky sits right ON that pretty abrupt hook).....

Re: SE performance is more than simply teeth vs no teeth.
David, you really made my Sunday with this post. I haven't been over here since ages only to find this gem. As a full serrations nut since 2005, I very much appreciate this. I had a plan to make one of these post myself but you did a better job than I ever could since I can't post pics anymore on t...

Re: Why is the Kapara so overlooked ?
I love my Kapara's. One of Spyderco's best knives. I have the S30v and the 20cv exclusive. I have no issue with the lock. I showed it to one of my long time buddies, in fact the guy that got me started on the Spyderco freight train :beaming-face, and he had never seen one! He was mind boggled at th...

Re: Spyderco Groom carry suggestions
Thank you very much for your kind words and wishes! Kapara never crossed my mind but it should have, truth is that most of my pocket knives are used always for food prep\snacking... :thinking I do like compression lock myself but as you, I do not prefer it for great outdoors as backlock is superior...

Hi Folks, in less than a month I will marry love of my life, person I look forward getting old with and my best friend at the same time. Now important question is, what Spyderco to carry this day? There is going to be some charcuterie and cheese boards on the "garden party" and I am torn ...

Re: Spyderco 50th Anniversary Knife?
I just thought about this but I would love for an anniversary knife to sport the colors of the current Spyderco boxes. Red black and gold is great !..... This is exactly what I proposed earlier in this thread, so of course and still I´d be all in for a "three tone spyderco colored" (FRN.....

Re: My first SLIPIT experience / Spyderco Urban
Very nice review! :clinking-mugs And glad you found out what linerless FRN really is: In relation to its weight imo the best, most sophisticated and actually very sturdy handle material (and I DO use my linerless FRN knives hard). Add the grippy texture but smooth logo the clip lands on and on many...
