Re: How do you handle the casual 'check out my knives!' folk?

People show me their knives all the time....most of what I see is pure crap....that people will end up hurting themselves using.... I can't bring myself to tell them how nice or how comfy it feels in my hand when it's crap!....So I pull no punches....you want my expert opinion? It is crap!!! and bel...

Re: Show us your lanyards!

I marvel at how some of the simpler lanyards look so good. The pictures on this forum are among the best amateur photos I have ever seen. We really have an artsy bunch here. You can say that again! When I started this thread long ago, who would have ever thought that the information and photos in t...

Re: NYC knife laws question

What would happen over there if a big politician, like a mayor or governor, were to become totally pro knife, and push through a law allowing people to carry any kind of knife they want, as long as they were not seeking to assault others? Also, is it true that in some places, even if a person is at...

Re: NYC knife laws question

I'll second what Paul has said. Keep the fixed blade completely concealed and you should not have any problems. Do not bring a folding knife to NYC, even a tiny ladybug on your key chain should be left at home. Any item that you use against another person who is unarmed can be considered a "dangerou...

Re: Let's talk about darts

Another fun game is called Baseball ... You shoot 9 numbers (9 innings) 1-9. Runs are scored cumulative for each inning. Inner and outer pies count for one run, double ring for two runs and triple ring for three runs...simple and fun!...Doc!

Re: Let's talk about darts

I like the game of 'Spanish' ( which is like cricket only you go 20-10 without the bull) can be players with points) Also like the game of 'Across the board' to start you must hit a double 6 to start... Once hit you go outer pie of the 6 then triple 6 and then inner pie 6... Once accomplished you ha...

Re: Let's talk about darts

Some advice (from an old dart champ): 1) First and most important is that your darts hit the board straight. If the flight is tilted up or down it might block a future target area. (It's also a sign of poor flight/weight selection) 2) Thinner darts are easier to place side by side. (for instance thr...

Thunder Ranch Endura?

Just purchased an old school but, NIB 1997 Endura SE for my pocket in AUS 8, SekiJapan. It has an engraved Logo of Thunder Ranch (the Firearms Academy owned by Clint Smith in Oregon) on the blade. So I'm looking for further info from my Spyderco bros, please shed some light if you can. And allow me ...
