Chopped Pm2 Tanto (now reverse-tanto) today:

That’s dramatic! Have you ever ground out the choil ridge? I also wonder if that chopped blade would fit in a PM3 handle.

Re: Random: General Spydie Chat

Anyone else sharpen all their knives at once and wait till they are all dull again to sharpen again? 🙄 I wait until they're all dull, and then sharpen one :squinting-tongue Ugh, that’s what I end up doing too much… I try to sharpen them as they rotate out of carry, but it doesn’t always happen that...

Re: Show off your Natives.

I agree with you on that, I've always found out to like it more in hand than in pictures. https://i.imgur.com/kF3wmVf.jpg I found this to be true of the Shaman too. I got the Z-wear sprint because in my mind it was THE version to have, and after feeling and using it I appreciate it much more. It ha...

Re: Show off your Natives.

I think part of what turns me off about the Native is actually a lighting artifact. The bevel on the spine often disappears in pictures, making the knife look like it has an abrupt grind through what should be a graceful curve. The dark blue native above shows the effect and the cure so to say; the ...

Re: Random: General Spydie Chat

I try not to criticize Spyderco too often, the last time I was recall was with the ugly left hand carry clip holes on the swayback and I'm over that. One thing has been bugging me for a while though, I would like to add a trainer Delica to the collection but I just cannot get over the price on the ...

Re: Cruwear micarta Bushcraft/Proficient

Sounds great! Just don’t shorten the handle too much; a full handle is an asset with any length blade. CruCarta or MagnaCarta, either way will be great. A flat or convex grind would be great; don’t need scandi. Unsure about a high hollow.

Because wallet?
Wallet goes in left back pocket, keys in left front. Dominant hand is kept free to reach for knife or pistol. All other junk goes on left side.

Re: Random: General Spydie Chat

I carry my knives in my back right pocket, so no I’ve never gotten rivet rub. I’m not sure why back pocket carry isn’t more popular. I’ve been carrying a knife that way for twenty years now. I find the side pocket to be more comfortable than the front or back. I only buy shorts and pants that have ...

Cut open an avocado with UKPK LW: one of the best lightweight backpacking knives.
Give me that full carbon fiber S90V version Spyderco, please.

Re: Is the Gayle Bradley coming back?

They are made in Taiwan; and they have some pressing concerns at the moment. Add to that all the cargo ships off the CA coast waiting to unload. How many Spydercos are onboard those ships I wonder? More bad COVID policy fallout.

Re: Is the Gayle Bradley coming back?

M4 is one of the steels that I think would really benefit from the DLC treatment. 52100 would too of course. The GB2 would be super easy to make aftermarket scales for, too. Suingab does wonderful things for the GB2 canvas.

Re: Can someone help me find a Military?

The only three CQI points I’m aware of on the millie are: 1. The stop pin is like on the Para3, no longer is it secured with two screws like the PM2 (why the PM2 still has the 2-screw stop pin I don’t know). 2. The lanyard tube is now the large diameter one like the Para 3 and PM2 as opposed to the ...
