Re: Yojimbo vs PM2 durability

First do what Kristi suggested and sign up for the OpFocus program. It is an excellent program and very generous of Spyderco. Next pick the one that feels best in your hand. Open/close and generally handle both of them and see if one stands out more than the other. Like others have said, both are gr...

Re: YOJUMBO has been released!

Actually, the portion of the blade your referring to isn't there to "push your finger off the lock tab." It's there to make the transition from the front of the handle to the heel of the edge as snag-free as possible. When I cut, I try to use the full length of the cutting edge and apply constant, ...

Re: Thank you Spyderco!

It's great. At first I thought the blade might be too thick but it goes through heavy cardboard no problem. I'm thinking of getting a Yojimbo 2 now and a minibo if one comes out :p

I do not need this knife, I do not need this knife, I do not need this knife .......................................................

This is why I try to stay away from this forum. Everytime I come here I start making a list of knives to add to my collection. :D

Re: YOJUMBO has been released!

I got my Yojumbo yesterday. Fit and finish is perfect and it is super sharp. My only issue or complaint is the part of the blade that blocks part of the compression lock. I can't see any reason for it to be there. Maybe I am not seeing something? When I get around to taking it apart I will probably ...

Thank you Spyderco!

Thank you everyone at Spyderco. Today I got my Yojumbo and was surprised when I found a few extras. I have gotten stickers before but not a SpyderCoin. Very nice :D

Thanks again and keep up the great work

Re: Question about Sharpmaker

Mine is the same. I thought it was something I did. LOL I checked and the good news is each side is exactly 20 degree angle. You would have to push the stones inward to change the angle and even if you did that it only changes a few degrees.

Same issue with my dice. I wish there was a fix. It's a great knife other than the washers.

I got my ATR 2 yesterday. Had I known it had teflon washers I might not have bought it. That said I am glad I got it. Some day I might get around to fitting some PB washers for it and my Dice.

There are collector club numbered versions of every knife. Sprint runs, dealer exclusives etc
What? So some of the knives are numbered for collectors? How many of the forum knives were numbered for collectors and how do you become one of these "Collectors"?

Has there been any CQI on the Dice? It has the same problem as the Advocate. I searched the forum but didn't find any mention of a fix.

The Advocate is not the CQI but I wonder if it could be sent to Spyderco for an exchange?
That's the promo that caught my eye. If it was the CQI I would jump on it.

I love the compression lock. Easy one handed open/close and I like the idea of no fingers in the blade path when closing.
