Re: Why Didn't You Buy A Manix 2 Back Lock?

I didn't know it was discontinued until seeing this thread. I bought one last week at an outdoor store in Johnson City, TN. It was the last one, and I probably paid too much as it was not reduced in price like most discontinued. It's a great knife, one of the best spydys if you are a fan of backlock...

Spyderco Warranty Repair-Excellent Service

I would like to thank Spyderco's Warranty and Repair service for helping me out in fixing a Spyderco Tusk that had some lock rock. Their service was quick and efficient, and they sent out a nice letter with the knife explaining everything. Thank you Spydy Crew!!

Re: Sal: C04 Sprint Run? (or a new C09 CoPilot Sprint Run)

At least one small Spyderco needs to remain tip down. Let's keep it the Co-Pilot. It's very fast to open with the Spydey Drop.

Re: Sal: C04 Sprint Run? (or a new C09 CoPilot Sprint Run)

How about a vg-10 blade with metal frame with copper scales on the outside????????? Spyderco could sell different metal scales like brass or titanium or steel plating.

Re: Sal: C04 Sprint Run?

A Co-Pilot sprint would be awesome. The co-pilot is a favorite of mine, and in today's large knife phobia times the cutting ability of the smaller blade combined with the comfortable handle of the co-pilot would hit the spot.

I'm gonna get one. Glad Spyderco decided to do this one. All the cooking show dudes have one.

Re: 2015 Forum Knife Announcement

I received my Forum Native on Friday. Without any exaggeration, IMO, this Native is about darn near close to perfect as Spyderco has come in a long time. Lightweight, # 1 or 2 steel, tough-strong lock, ambidextrous. This Forum Native reminds me of when I first saw and held and used an Endura around ...

Re: The meanest cutter Spyderco makes...hands down.

I've been looking forward to this review because I really like the jumpmaster and like what Lance puts his knives through. If Spyderco does a regrind on an Atlantic Salt they're going to have to put a plain edge tip, say the first half inch. As it is now on the Atlantic, the serrations go all the wa...

Re: Damascus steel use

Carry a damascus bladed titanium delica almost daily. The damascus blade cuts very well maybe due to it being ground extremely thin. The blade keeps a good edge over extended use. I keep it honed though; so, it's never really dull.

I haven't held either the spin or the equilibrium, but they both look like two finger knives to me.

Re: Any plans for more Co-Pilots?

Maybe try a leafstorm. I really like the co-pilot. To me, the leafstorm comes close, but I wish it was tip down like the copilot.

How was the lockup? Did you offer to buy it? And, great picture. I've always wanted a plain edge executive.

Almost same experience w/ my Bradley. My battery acid like sweat corroded the edge a little bit after extensive inside the waistband carry. I re-sharpened the knife first w/ a medium diamond ez lap rod and then finished w/ a medium and then fine DMT diamond embedded sharpener. The edge literally bro...

I carry a plain edge, G-2, original delica everyday. Best lockup on a lockback that I've owned. Found one on ebay as a backup in case I lose the current one.

Nice, very nice, of Sal and good for the Deacon. To me, the original calypso, jr., or experimental, with micarta was the BEST constructed, best feeling knife Spyderco ever made. Absolutely, the tightest lockup of any lockback I've ever owned. I wish spyderco still made them. Thank you for the pictur...

Carlos, the Yojimbo also suffered from a bright shining, poorly placed clip. I hope Sal and Michael Janich changed this in the Yojimbo II.
