Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!

I disassembled, cleaned, and lubed my Bowie last night and the action is pretty phenomenal now. The Bowie is also ridiculously easy to take apart and put back together.

Alright, I'm just gonna say it...

I think the Slysz SpydieChef is an all-around better knife than the Slysz Bowie. Come at me. :P

Re: The Best Knife Website

DLT Trading, CollectorKnives, and KnivesShipFree are my "go-to" dealers. Amazing customer service with reps/owners who are just as big of knife nuts as we are. They are also among the VERY few dealers not taking advantage of their customers with GEC drops.

Re: Knifejoy Exclusive...Slysz Bowie??!!

Mine came in today. I'm enjoying it very much. I do think it's priced too high though. I think TkoK83Spy nailed it with the $275 - $325 price point. There is a lot of competition once you get to the $350+ price ranges, and to be honest, I just don't think the Slysz Bowie is all that competitive. I s...

Re: Random guys honest assessment of the Slysz Bowie.

Great write-up. I don't agree with all of your conclusions, but I agree with the vast majority, as well as the overall gist of your review. Mine came in today, and I do really like it. My quick thoughts are that it's much more comparable to the Massdrop Keen, than a Sebenza or Inkosi. I'd pay ~$300 ...

Re: Ghost pass stroping

I agree with these two. In the field, I'll take a DoubleStuff/DoubleStuff 2 or DMT DiaFold long before I'd be carrying a piece of foam that could fail and only has one grit. Huge fan of the Falkniven DC4. That's another really great one! I had one for a time but gave it away when I got my DiaFold. ...

All the knives on the poll are made for people with "man hands".

I have baby hands, so none of the knives on the list work for me, lol.

Re: Why doesn't Spyderco use D2 in their Seki models?

I think araneae probably nailed it. D2 has quite a bit less corrosion resistance than VG-10. D2 also seems like it can be difficult to nail down the heat treat on mass produced knives (I could be wrong there though). Considering D2 only has a very slight advantage in toughness and edge retention ove...

Re: Ghost pass stroping

I hear ya , when you’re sharpening up off the hood or tailgate of a ranch truck, a edge pro and diamond lap film is out of touch and pretentious , it works pretty excellent on the fly when you’re not a sit at home knife user Why does every one of your posts have to be so abrasive and patronizing? Y...

Re: My wife's knifes.

Without further ado, here are "my wife's knifes." Excellent collection. You could correct your grammar problem simply by becoming a polygamist. Then it would be "My wives' knives." But that has the drawback that you might discover all of those knives sticking in your back one morning. But then I wo...

Re: Newest Teal Exclusive....Para3 LW

Snagged one from DLT Trading while they were in stock. :D Hmm. the 20cv version was 129. Dude... That was in 2019. There has been an MSRP increase since then. Back in my day... You could buy a gallon of gas for under a dollar. Things change. Umm... Are we talking about the same knife? The 20cv Para...
