Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!
Good ol’ DACK. I ordered an manix 2 in s110v and after two months, it hadn’t shipped. I ended up snagging a 15v manix 2, so I sent DACK an email asking to just cancel the order. Fifteen minutes later I had tracking for the manix, and a couple hours after that an email apologizing saying they couldn ...

Re: Para 3 Black/ Yellow Magnacut Salt
I talked to Eric about this at a recent show. He said the G10 layered scales have been the holdup on the black/yellow para 3, but that it’s close to being released.

Titanium scales with a steel liner delete (makes the titanium version lighter than the G10/steel liner version), titanium ball cage, lighter spring, ceramic ball, titanium clip, titanium hardware and lanyard tube. Along with the CPM-15V steel, it's quickly becoming a favorite knife.
How stable ...

How could it not? Just look at that thing. Gorgeous knife. Very nice job on that one!
What were those scales again? I've seen those around. Ripps?
Thanks! The scales and clip came from Rockscale Design. I’m a big fan ...

Re: CPM 15v Manix 2
I lucked out and was able to snag the G10 version on the secondary market (only had to pay double retail, lol). I was never the biggest fan of the hump in the handle of the stock scales, so I made some changes. Titanium scales with a steel liner delete (makes the titanium version lighter than the ...

I was able to snag one from DLT Trading. Pretty stoked to play with such an extreme steel. :)

Re: The new Baker Forge Stainless Damascus sure would look nice on some Spydercos!
Awesome! They seemed excited when I let them know you’d be contacting them. I’m excited to hear what you guys think of it. It might be too expensive/risky of an endeavor because of the billet size needed, but a Mule Team run sure would be cool.

Re: Sage 6 first impressions
Is that action strictly from cleaning it out or did you remove the 2nd detent? That action looks exactly like mine, but I did remove it. Since I have removed it though it has become one of my favorites. I would be happier to have it just as it came but the close action on mine was horrible with ...

Re: Sage 6 first impressions
I picked up the Sage 6 sprint and it's my favorite release from Spyderco in a few years now! I'm really loving this knife. It did take a disassembly to clean it out, and get it running smoothly, but since then... Just wow! Absolute perfect, drop-shut action just like with my Maxamet Sage 5 LW, and ...

Re: The new Baker Forge Stainless Damascus sure would look nice on some Spydercos!
The composition of the steels that Baker Forge and Damasteel use for their stainless damascus is nearly identical.
This is AEB-L vs PMC 27.

Re: The new Baker Forge Stainless Damascus sure would look nice on some Spydercos!
Hi Fixall,
Sorry I missed you at the Show. It certainly was busy. It's funny that you mentioned Superfool. Always on my mind. The Damask Chap was queued in years ago. The UK for Superfool has to be made in Golden, which is having a hard time keeping up.
Their stuff looks interesting. So now my ...

Hi Fixall,
Thanx for the link.

Absolutely! Coy and the crew over at Baker Forge are great people too.
I wanted to swing by to show you a billet of the Baker Forge stainless (and maybe give you a little light-hearted ribbing for Superfool after seeing the Damasteel Chaparral), but I had ...

The new Baker Forge Stainless Damascus sure would look nice on some Spydercos!
Every since Baker Forge announced that they were working on a stainless damascus recipe, I've been just waiting for it to release to the public. They decided to go with a mix of 154cm and AEB-L for theirs, which should give it somewhat comparable performance to Damasteel (RWL34 and PMC27), albeit a ...

Re: Potential Tariffs & Golden, CO.
Laws and interpretation are somewhat subjective as every business has a different model. From what I understand up to this point, is that countries who import to the US pay the tariffs IF they do not have an established US entity. I am purposefully using the word entity to be vague. Our current ...
