Maybe if you carry around a few fish hooks and a spool of fishing line you can just say you were on your way to go fishing? :D :p lol, yeah...a standard joke around these parts. i just spent 3 days looking into massachusetts knife laws. they're pretty clever, an immense paragraph that's all one sen...

Maybe they should start making cars that will only go as fast as the speed limit, then nobody ever gets a speeding ticket? this might not be far fetched and not too far off. it won't be a full time thing but something set by the owner, like a scroll thru the computer and be password set. back on to...

Re: Para 3 sprint has dropped!
I think I heard someone mention the cruwear sprint had a few tweeks from the standard, but I couldn't say what. interesting. i have a std s30v para 3 so i guess i'll see whats going on there. cru wear is my first foray into something "exotic" (for lack of a better word) that i plan on usi...

Re: Para 3 handle scales
how does one deal with that rivet? Yeah,...as mentioned if the "rivet" you're talking about is the stop pin, that is a non issue and comes out easily. However, the lanyard tube IS a rivet in the sense that it is spread out a bit over the G10 scales, and WILL require some effort to work it...

ahh...i see. thanks for the info! :)VashHash wrote:It's just a pin not a rivet. It's to replace the screw and barrel assembly of the old stop pins. Seems most gunsmiths I know aren't Glock fans because they love their custom built 1911's LOL. you're so right. my gunsmith started his shop doing everything. in fact i started using him after he agreed to help me get an a2 sight off an ar rifle and then i threw all kinds of odd chores at him i'd b...

Re: The Official Gun Brand and Caliber Debate thread!
i've been lucky for the most part with semi auto pistols. the only gun i've owned that was crap was a walther ppk/s. bought it new when interarms put out the stainless version way back when. couldn't get that to feed anything, rn or hp's. didn't matter what brand i used either. i gave it a fair shak...

Re: The Official Gun Brand and Caliber Debate thread!
the only thing i'm curious about on the 5 is this new fangled barrel they're touting. glock made a big issue out of their polygonal barrels but now we have a newer design, huh...wonder what that's all about. the rest of the "improvements" don't get me excited. but if i were a left handed s...

Re: The Official Gun Brand and Caliber Debate thread!
Meh.... A Glock is a Glock is a Glock..... No excitement as to generational changes from me. I like them, own a couple and shoot them but they aren't as special as their devotees like to believe. It's a tool that does a job. they sure aren't fancy by any means but their real claim to fame is they w...

i'm partial to the gen 3, prefer the finger groves actually to not having any on the 2. i also have a gen 4 19 unfired. after i bought it i never felt the need, the gen 3 19 was chugging along just fine, thanks. got a g20 gen 4, like that a lot and sees a lot of use. i've taken to using that as a ca...

Re: The Official Gun Brand and Caliber Debate thread!
i'm in my mid 60's and a glock fan since 1993. bought 3 that year, 19,22 and a 23. still own those pistols, gen 2's. since i've added a couple of gen 3's and 4's along the way. this old dog jumped on the glock train early and never got off. but don't see a need to even look at a gen 5, nothing there...
