Yes it does work, seems to wear out your pocket faster then you think and is the fastest way to open a folder. Beware of loose clothing though, if the tip grabs anything, its the slowest.

Yes a G-10 Delica would be nice, nested liners to solve the clip problem, not much of a problem really. The barrel clip is a good idea but makes the Delica and Endura 'butt ugly'.

Allright Fisher, hey I got a 905 too. Was my first quality folder, they are a bit more expensive overhere you know. So birthday money allowed me to buy it. EDC'ed it for a year and a half and is now followed up by the Delica. Enjoy, hope you like it.

No worries Daywalker, for one time Ken is wrong. It is there to provide room for your finger when the knife is closed. If it was not there you could not do the Spydie-drop with it.

Allways a Delica PE which is my pocket razor. At work also an Opinel nr.8 carbon blade for when I need a scharp blade that may get scratched or damaged. And a 3 inch carbon Puuko for tougher jobs, very sturdy, strong tip, no pivot or lock and I like to find out how strong my own handywork really is....

So now we have a concept for a series of tests to measure the strength of a knifelock, upwards, downwards, sideways and torque. And for reliability, safety, a combination of downwards and torque in a dynamic way. Adding lenghwise is also a possibility, though maybe for tactical knifes or real heavy ...

Delica PE, always with me and I like to keep it 'sharp'. At work I also carry a Opinel nr.8 with a carbon blade for when a sharp knife is needed but might get scratched. And for when its get rough, a sturdy little Puuko that I made myself with a 3 inch carbon blade from Lauri. And a whetstone cause ...

I'm just trying to get us a clearer view on this matter Joe, let me try to be more specific. When measering the strengh of a knifelock, I think the first to test is its strengh in the direction of its intended use. In other words, holding the handle and apply force on the edge upwards. Second would ...

Just please be careful when working with acid. protection for your eyes and hands is a minimum. Also the fumes are real bad news for your lungs, take care about that to. Damascus is just beautiful and worthy to keep it that way, so good luck. Got a tip once about this subject from a couple of guys t...

Discussions as this one are many but never seem to cover the most obvious issue. When a knife is used, the forces aplied to it are directed to the edge. So if pure force alone would make the lock to collapse it would never fold in but further out or sideways. The blade folding back in is usualy a ma...

The liner lock is the smoothest to operate, and when well made is up with the strongest locks available. It also has no extra moving parts and is easy to clean. Its all a matter of like it or not, like many things.
