Re: Different knife different day, or one knife for life?
Unlike ages ago, I had a good reason to change over to a smaller knife today, rather than the one I was carrying. I changed my Cruwear Stretch XL over to a Maxamet Para 3. It was easier for some tip accuracy and I really appreciated that. It makes me wonder about always wanting to carry a larger ...

Re: Do you like open back knives?
I prefer my knives with a closed back. Many times something has been skinny enough to go in between the open scales and touch the blade. Having said that, I've only had any real damage done to the knife's edge or the object which went in there once when a coin stuck perfectly between the scales of ...

Re: Has anyone had a UKPK confiscated by police in the UK?
I guess a lot of it is where you are and the law's reaction with the local situations they experince.
I'm in the UK and I carried a Sebenza or Mnandi everyday for maybe ten or fifteen years, and a Buck before that for years too. And since then, I nearly always have a locking Spyderco or a Mora ...

Re: Out of stock on purpose
This reminds me on the recent Guinness conspiracy! Just before Christmas last year, pubs and everywhere selling their drinks were told by Guinness that there would be a shortage on the predicted amount of sales in the lead up to Christmas with stouts, etc going though the roof and, especially, the ...

Re: Looking for Para 3 g10
I have a Maxamet Para 3 which has been an excellent knife. Although I'll have to be honest and say I slightly prefer the larger PM2, it is still a very useful sized knife and the steel has always been excellent to keep an edge on or freshen up with a leather strop.

Re: What are your top 5 Spydercos right now?
It changes slightly all the time, and I could easily include several more, such as the WolfSpyder, Para 3 and Manix, but these five are always firm favourites of mine and include all the various sized knives I'd ever need ~

I've been carrying the Dragonfly, as my deep-pocket edc knife, everyday since I started this thread and it has been really impressive. Earlier today, I replaced it with my UKPK for a change.

It would be lovely to see this one getting off the ground in memory of the original user, Danzo (Dan Sharpe) who has recently died.

A small CruCarta knife?
Today, I used my PM2 CruCarta for dinner and it got me thinking about a smaller version.

Re: Lil Temp XL? Moderate Temp? Mid Temp? Discuss the 3.5" Temp folder here!
I've mentioned this knife before ~ My dream Spyderco would be a Lil' Temperance XL.
(Well, my dream knives are this and a full sized Native slipjoint, but that's another story!)
For the new knife, although a 3.5” blade would be a step in the right direction, I think the difference of just over ...

Re: What's the one you keep going back to?
For me, it's the Lil' Temperance. I had a soft spot for the earlier Green G-10 model and this newer model is every bit as good. Top features for me are the deep scales and the blade edge running close to the handle.
I'd love to see it in Crucarta!

Re: Lack of Scandi Grinds For Spyderco?
I have a WolfSpyder with Scandi grind. In fact, it's my third one. I sold the first without any real use and the second, which I used and loved a lot, along with several other of my knives, was stolen.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Although I was intending to carry my Para Military 2 CRU-WEAR into the New Year, I took the notion earlier today of a change. I think it's that pregnant delay between Christmas and the end of the year which made me fancy a change.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Over Christmas and into the New Year I'll be carrying my Para Military 2 CRU-WEAR. Still a close call between it and the Lil' Temperance but I'd just about say this one has grew, very quickly, to be my favourite Spyderco. A perfect size and I just love the Micarta / full liners. Plus the steel is ...

Re: Dodgy knife received from Heinnie Haynes. Advice sought.
This just reminded me of the time I bought a Sebenza from an online dealer and it arrived obviously second-hand ~ Light swirls on the steel and some faint marks on the Mammoth Ivory and titanium. Granted, it was very minor wear but imagine my surprise on seeing that because I thought it was brand ...

Re: Boye dent
For me, the Boye dent is a much classier looking knife. I have both and always think this every time I look at both together.
If there is any percentage whatsoever of a chance that a lock-back without the dent is easier opened, then it takes away any ideas of which way I'd lean. "If there is any ...

Re: UKPK in Spy27 & G10 at Shot Show
I wonder will this one be available with a drop-point blade later? I missed the 2nd HH Limited Edition G-10 with a drop-point blade after deciding against it for some daft reason and just about immediately regretted it when they sold out.

Hello everyone,
It'll soon be a year since we starting discussing this full sized Native slipjoint. We mentioned clips, etc, and Sal has said that it may get closer to happening the next summer, depending, and that time has came and gone now.

Guinness West Indies Porter today. With most of their other beers having the flavour really watered down these days, this porter is easily my favourite from them.
