Not sure why people have so many problems with Dewalt batteries. I've been using them for years professionally and as long as you drain them and completely charge them, there shouldn't be any problems. I usually buy the reconditioned batteries, which are individually inspected, for around $40 per 18...

Caly 3 is a really sleek, ergonomic knife as well as an excellent Slicer and Cutter. You'll like it.
For heavier cutting tasks, I prefer the worst blade/ handle ratio of the Para :o

I'd go for the Para. It is lighter, uses less pocket space and the compression lock is not only quick to open, but also quickly closed one handed. I can close back locks one handed, but it feels like I'm trying to tie a knot in my hand.

Here's a pic of the Bobcat. Usually when I see cool animals, I don't have my camera with me.

This isn't the smallest or lightest suggestion, but don't forget the D'Allara Rescue. Since you'd be carrying the knife in a pack, the extra size wouldn't matter (it is a pocket hog), but on the other hand ,the size and shape of the handle is perfect for a secure grip during heavy duty use.

Prices are a little higher than on the web, but you can handle any knife, take your time to compare models, ask for expert advice..... 3.) Store size: You can ge...

I recently bought my first G-Shock. Used to wear Luminox, but their chrystals kept scratching and breaking. So far the G-Shock is holding up nicely and I love the thought of not having to change batteries and always having the right time.
