Forgive me if it has been mentioned, but to my knowledge the Surefire rechargables come with NiCad battery sticks which is somewhat old technology when compared to the nickle metal hydride and newer Li-ion batteries. Perhaps that explains why the Surefire rechargeables are not as popular as they ...

As Mariner pointed out in a post above, there are shock-isolated heads available, which I recommend if you plan to run the P60 lamp. Note that the M2 head adds considerable size to the package. I continue to think the P60 is unacceptable, and if I were looking for a 60-lumen 2-cell incandescent, I ...

I don't think that you should be too surprised JD. Check the relative number of threads on CPF that address, or even mention, SF's rechargeable incadescent lights or the L7. There are comparatively few. (BTW, I noticed your arrival on CPF a while back with your query concerning the short runtimes ...

....rumor had it the G2s didn't see the P60 breakage problems. People on CPF hypothesized that the polymer body had a little "give", enough to absorb some shock.

May or may not be true Joe. I don't think that it's been conclusively shown one way or the other. As you are likely aware, the standard ...

Just to have and not to use  . That doesn't sound like you Chad ;) . If you get one, I'm sure that you'll end up using it sooner or later. You won't be able to help yourself.

Great photos as always Rock. Thanks.

Well Pat, I suppose that Murphy (and his **** Law) had to be in someone's back pocket on Monday. It appears that it was just your turn. Keep the faith, and get some prescription pain killers for Pete's sake. That off-the-shelf stuff just don't cut it sometimes. Some time in a hot tub or Jacuzzi ...

My physician says that I could afford to lose 20 lb. but, at 6' 1", I'm really not too concerned about 20 lb. Giving-up pizza and switching to light beer  . I think not!

Well, that depends on whether the Forum knife arrives before the Kumo becomes available in my neck of the woods. Either way, I win big time :D . Still can't make up my mind about the Poliwog, but a mini manix is definitely coming my way when it makes its debut at my local retailer.

Yo Reece, I ordered an E2D on-line from these folks http://www.tetragon.ca/search.cgi?uid=1129044809&category=Surefire%20Lights&currency=CDN in Mississauga, Ontario, and it was delivered to my door two days later. I've also purchased Inova T1, T3, T4 and X5 LED flashlights from them. Great service.

Speaking of evolution, it's interesting to observe that the topic of this thread, Things That Upset You? evolved into Things That You Hate?

What has a tendency to upset me is laziness, and the multitude of ways that it manifests itself in human behavior.

I won't really know the answer to this question until the Forum Knife arrives and I've had an opportunity to handle it (read play with it). If it's as good as it looks, then it will go into the EDC rotation for sure.

Lots of great recommendations here. In the circumstances you describe, I will have either a Centofante III in my suit jacket or a Spur SS in my pant's pocket (OK, sometimes both :) ) but, then again, I don't own a Kiwi or a Kopa yet :( .

I carry pepper spray when I walk my dog in the park each evening. Only felt compelled to use it once in the last four years, and it was very effective against an "anti-social" dog that somehow got out of his owner's fenced yard and wanted a piece of my dog. Its effectiveness on two-legged perps is ...

I had an immobilizer system installed in my Lincoln (in addition to the factory alarm system) when I bought the car. This was arranged by the dealer before I took delivery, and cost me several hundred dollars. They may be able to get in, but they won't be going anywhere :D .
