I've seen a number of FFG wogs in the past. A great mod from the looks of it. :)
oh yes, I see it now. I guess my desire to find a small, strong, locking, wharncliffe blade makes me see things!

I always thought my G10 Poliwog would be the perfect knife if it had a wharncliffe blade! That looks great! Did you do it by yourself or did someone regrind it for you?

oop, sorry, I come from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with a population of close to 600,000 people. And the greater vancouver area has a population of over 2,000,000. My idea of rural is a bit skewed :D Yep, I'll be studying at Wollongong! The campus and area look beautiful and I'm really loo...

Thanks for the reply! I will be going to Nowra, New South Wales as an international student (4 years of medical school!). Ok, so I will bring (in my check-in luggage) my g10 poliwog, millie, tasman salt, and I'll buy a g10 delica (i have a zdp that has serrations, so it's a bit scarier looking). I'l...

A knife for Australia

Hi,

I will be going to school in New South Wales, Australia in February (in a pretty rural town). I was thinking about getting a PE, G10 Delica for carry down there. Would this be a wise choice or would it still too big and scary looking?

Thanks.

I just received the G10 Poliwog. I'm surprised there isn't more fanfare regarding this knife! It has amazing ergonomics and is a powerful cutter. Pretty NKP friendly too!

Sharpening cleavers with the duckfoot

Hi,

I was wondering if sharpening heavy bone cleavers on the duckfoot sharpener would dislodge the diamond particles? I know that you shouldn't use much force to sharpen, but the cleaver is naturally heavy. Thanks!

I think it's a scam. No credit card company/PayPal etc. would ask for your account information over email. You might also want to report this scam to PayPal as well!

The Benchmade Bluebox has the Torx size you are looking for (I used it for my Delica 4). However, the kit seems very fragile and the bits seem kind of soft. If you can find a better kit, go for it!

Thanks for your post Doc.! MMA is a pretty strange thing. I wouldn't call it an art form in the traditional sense, but I love it because it allows me to keep an open mind about various techniques. I do not think that MMA should be categorized as a true martial art like Kung Fu, Karate, etc. But rath...

I couldn't agree more. I would like to see how one of these guys would do in the ring with a UFC light heavyweight like Chuck Liddell. By no means do I think that Chuck or UFC is the best of the best but I think there are a lot of people that think they are "badass" that would get a wake ...

I don't think the Paramilitary comes in BG42, someone correct me if I'm wrong. The Military comes in S30V (G10 or carbon fiber handles) or BG42 (carbon fiber handles). I have a serrated paramilitary and a plain edge 440V military. I think the paramilitary would be a good choice because it is a very ...

Remove, clean it well (to remove all dried loctite). You DO NOT need a whole drop of loctite, that is way to much and you will get loctite everywhere. Add a drop of loctite to a piece of foil, wax paper, or whatever you have lying around and use something like a toothpick to add a small amount aroun...
