Re: What's your favorite model to OPEN?

by far, my smoothest spyderco is the caribbean. it's a real joy to use and fidget with. what others complain about being a weak detent, i call smooth perfection.

a close second is my yojimbo, just because of the mass of the blade.

Re: freedom v. fear

i was talking to a police officer friend of mine about this recently and was saying the problem is laws that are meant to prevent people from breaking laws. for example, it's already against the law to slash a person, stab a person, carve your name into a bathroom stall, etc. rather than just enforc...

Re: H1 vs LC200N

i think i prefer unique models more than i care about steels. i prefer se h1 for my salts, but i'll likely never get rid of my se sheepsfoot caribbean and i carry it often because it's a great knife and very pleasing to use. magnacut is more than stainless enough for my pe needs, since i've been mor...

This thread has been a pleasure to read through, guys. Some eloquently written statements as well, especially that last post by Mad Mac. I will try to make this reply as short as I can while still communicating my point. I am currently working as an Armed/Unarmed Security Guard in California (Gear ...

Re: Suggestions for next Spyderco

not lightweight, but the number one compression lock knife i'd suggest would be the yojimbo. it's just such a cool knife and the weight of the blade makes the comp lock a joy to use. i also really like the smoothness of taichung compression locks, so i'd suggest the caribbean. that one isn't small a...

Re: Good Video: Top 10 Spyderco Knives - 2021

No PM2! That's a welcome relief. I personally like the PM2, I have 3. Why does it get so much hate? Because sprints usually are only PM2s? I never said that I hated it...on the top of my head, not going to my knife boxes to count, I've had as many as 20 PM2s at some point, sold several, have about ...

I'll also add that even though I prefer LC200N, I would be sorry to see H-1 disappear from the lineup.
this is an important point here. i really love my h1 knives and wouldn't like them as much in ffg lc200n. i'd hate to see h1 disappear.

Re: H1 vs LC200N

this is a tough question to answer... i've tried multiple times here on the forum. for me, it's a little more complicated to answer than the choices available in the poll. i prefer spyderedge when it comes to marine environments and for emergency uses. for me, that means i always prefer to have at l...

Re: Ack! Both Pac Salt 2 SE variants are on sale. Help me decide!

you can't go wrong with either version, I just don't subscribe to the mindset that H1 is obsolete. same. op, i've experienced some rolling with se lc200n on my caribbean. my first cut with the knife was some pallet straps that were apparently a lot for it to take. to be fair, i may have torqued my ...

linerless titanium delica scales...?

does anyone make titanium scales for the delica that don't require the liners? i'd like to make a titanium salt 2, but there are no liners in the salt 2. flytanium scales are milled out to fit over the liners.

thanks!

Re: SMKW Mystery New Exclusive (Jungle themed)

Why is the PM2 so popular? I’m not being a jerk, I am just being totally honest. I don’t think it’s anything special is it? i think this has a lot to do with the fact that it's a great knife that rose to popularity when knife reviewing started getting popular. personally, it's not for me, but i ful...

i'm not usually a big fan of being a walking billboard either, but i'm always showing people my knives anyway and i have a calendar at my desk. i like to show them they can get a better knife than what they typically carry for a reasonable price. i enjoy supporting spyderco, especially after getting...

the resistance in this post is hilarious. why does anyone care if someone wants spydiesocks? spyderco makes bandanas. what's so wrong with socks? i'd wear some, but i'd prefer a lightweight version. 😂 Sorry man no LW here I need them hard use socks for extra arse kicking protection 🤣 some of us nee...
