Re: Wharncliffe Delica interest
the only time i've carried my whanrcliffe delica and wished i had a blade with belly was when i had to scrape stickers from a flat surface. whanrcliffe blades are horrible for that task, but i haven't had issues with them for anything else.

Re: Military 2 Tanto
i understand the desire to have my favorite knife company do something i like from other knife companies, but when it comes down to it, i'd rather let spyderco be spyderco and let those other companies fill in the gaps.
this is no slight to spyderco, but they will never beat the design (and ...

Re: Military 2 vs PM2 vs Para 3 G10 magnacut salt (fishing)
i was going to suggest the military because the longer blade will give you better geometry for cleaning fish due to the taper of the blade. in other words, more of the blade is thinner compared to the shorter blades. but even if you're not cleaning fish with it, i'd still recommend the military ...

Re: Out of stock on purpose
Spyderco totally playing some shell game to avoid selling knives at a discount. There’s no way they could just reduce the discount if they wanted to.
Yep, conspiracy theories never hold up to scrutiny, common sense or Occam’s Razor.
Eh, I wouldn't go that far. Anyone paying attention to ...

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week - Book
why not start with calendar submissions? you own the photos now and have years worth of submissions and you aren't limited to what made it into the calendars. you could probably make a book just with the calendar winners and other submissions that you liked but didn't meet requirements or make it ...

Re: Calendar Contest Reminder & Request for Feedback
After seeing this years winners, I have to say I like a bit of the change from the "norm" standard.
I feel like in years past, customized knives or knives with wear/patina tended to be overlooked for the calendar for more OEM or pristine knives photos. Now this year we have Ladybug93's custom ...

this one is really pushing all others out of my pocket. i still prefer the looks and ergos of the manix, but the ergos are almost equally good with the military for me and i'm loving the longer blade. i'll have to get the manix salt when it comes ...

Re: Aftermarket Ti scales for the Sage 6?
i wish awt would make non-skinny manix scales. the skinny versions all look terrible to me and they kill the ergos and lines that were designed into the knife. my three favorite models right now are the manix, military 2, and yojumbo. they're all skinny models only and look ridiculous in my opinion ...

i would love to see a ladybug hawkbill salt with lc200n and titanium. a manbug wharncliffe in that combo would also be excellent.
