Re: what others are you excited about from shot show?

I am curious about changing blades on the Prybrid (a frequent occurrence with disposable blades). I don't want to have to get out a tool to change blades. For the past 20+ years i've used a Stanley with quick blade change. Couldn't tell from the photos if the Prybrid includes a quick change feature...

Re: what others are you excited about from shot show?

Definitely getting that gerber. It would be perfect for work. Im a big fan of simple razor knives and that looks great. Also looks like it has a bottle opener so thats a big plus as well. And it will be cheap so thats awesome. Big question. Is the razor blade and exacto knife replaceable with a sta...

Re: what others are you excited about from shot show?

Those gerber tools are cool and i have never been interested in a gerber product before. The benchmade mini bugout got my attention this year i’m not typically a fan of gerber either, but these got my attention. i also like the armbar with the driver, as long as they didn’t completely cheap out on ...

Re: what others are you excited about from shot show?

No pry tool but I make these when there's not enough filament left on a roll to make anything else. They actually work pretty well. :) https://i.imgur.com/c9sCTLql.jpg https://i.imgur.com/to19QgSl.jpg I may get a mini bugout too. We'll see. I already have a Sequel, Valet, & G10 Mini Grip that I don...

what others are you excited about from shot show?

i have to say, some other brands really have my attention this year and they’re brands i wouldn’t have expected to get excited about. first up is the new composite dividend by kershaw. i’ve thought about the composite leek for years, but just never pulled the trigger. i was interested in the dividen...

Re: Lil Native

there have been hints at a lil native lw, which was followed by speculation of a lil native lw salt. the shot glass blade seems to confirm that, but i think people were expecting the lw to be a comp lock like the para 3 lw. in any case, i’m hoping for a lil native salt with g10 and liners. there are...

Re: So I want to try a Native.

Thanks everyone! Maybe the burnt orange will grow on me. :-) i have multiple knives in colors i didn’t like at first. after holding them and using them, they were so good i stopped caring about the color. ironically, the knives with black handles are the ones i want to mod because i like them enoug...

Re: So I want to try a Native.

i only have a native salt, but i’ve handled the g10 version. the g10 version is handle-heavy and not as well balanced as the lw version. of the two, i prefer the lw, but that depends on your taste. if you want something that’s more interesting, the native salt is a great knife. it’s not exactly an e...

Re: Serrated H-1 vs. Serrated LC200N?

i recently had a small chip in my native salt. not sure what i did, but nothing extreme at all. i was surprised to see it there. mine isn’t se, but it still chipped instead of rolled for what that’s worth. My Caribbean showed both chips and rolling, but cutting the exact same material did the same ...

Re: Reveal 4, What's your favorite release?

also, spyderco, please ditch the pins in the manix 2 lw. i’m not interested in another manix lw until i can take it apart to maintain it properly and/or it’s a salt version. That's probably the only reason I don't own a Manix 2 LW. honestly, it’s my favorite pocket knife of all time. it can only be...

Re: Reveal 4, What's your favorite release?

i don’t care for tool steels (hahaha... autocorrect changed this to fool steels initially), but i’ve been wanting a ladybug to replace my first knife that is missing from my collection and this one may be it. i’m also very interested in the hint at a lil native salt. i hope it’s not only available i...

Re: Production LC200N

Regarding the OP, I would not advocate replacing everything with LC200n and doing away with the Salt line. Mainly because variety is the spice of life but specifically because (in the case of say s30v and lc200n) you would be giving up edge retention for a level of corrosion resistance that the ave...

Re: Production LC200N

i agree with many of you here that would replace s30v with lc2000n. i’d even agree with evild about the rest of the knife not needing to be full salt. i would say, however, that we know other metals don’t alway play nice with lc200n, so that could cause some serious issues. i’m hoping to see more go...

Re: H-1 Blade Scratches

h1 scratches if you look at it wrong. i actually like that about my salt knives. yellow a does and scratched steel means it was never meant to look pretty and always meant to be a user. i use my salt knives harder than the rest of my folding knives because they beg for it.

Re: Opinions on the combo edge

i don’t have a problem with serrations, but i don’t really care for the chisel grind you get with the rest of a combo blade. also, the portion of the blade closest to my hand is the part i use primarily, so i’d rather carry one of each instead of a compromise.
