Re: yojimbo salt

i’m glad to see this thread get some more traction. i hope spyderco is watching it. there’s definite demand for a yojimbo 2 salt (and a blacked out version as well). i just want to reiterate that s30v is fine for corrosion resistance. however, it can’t match lc200n. furthermore, in my opinion, a mai...

Re: ESEE Knives

i'd really like the new xancudo. i love the budget-friendly zancudo folder. it's really a comfortable knife in hand. a fixed blade version would make a great neck knife for camp chores. I like the Zancudo folder also. I also have the larger Avispa. My only complaint on it is the pocket clip rests o...

Re: Lil Native Salt SE

Considering the blade that's in the rocks glass in the last reveal, I think a Lil' Native Salt back lock has to be coming soon. i can appreciate the backlock. i have quite a few of them. however, if we get a lil native salt in a backlock, i'll personally have no reason to buy one. i especially won'...

Re: Lil Native Salt SE

To me, serrations make the most sense in a longer blade, so I'm not too interested in a SE Lil Native. But then, the Lil Native is a smaller knife than I usually like to begin with. Serrations technically make an edge longer by I think something like 30% per inch, so it's a good way to give a small...

Re: Lil Native Salt SE

i’ve been asking for this for a while now. in my mind, it would be like a mini caribbean, so it makes sense you’d want one. I'd really like this knife as well, but I think I'd prefer to have a backlock. I'd carry it mostly loose in running shorts or sweatpants, or loose in a dry bag or strapped to a...

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!

is that a denim micarta? looks sweet! i really need a non-lw manix. Yeah, they're a thin layer of denim micarta over g10. Rcbladeworks. I like the feel in hand of solid micarta better, but I think these look nice with the two-tone blue. nice. they have some burgundy scales i’ve been eyeing for my y...

Awesome shot!
+1! Yojimbo is already an awesome looking knife, that backspacer just makes it look that much crazier!
thanks, guys. i really like the backspacer, both for looks and functionality.

Re: Spyderco Rebrand Concept

great job on the project. that’s pretty cool. that said, i prefer the “cute” bug. partially for nostalgia and partially because it’s part of what sets spyderco apart from the rest of the knife world. lots of companies have those more angular and sharp lines to their logos and knives. spyderco is ver...

When the LC200N Dragonfly becomes a reality maybe we can get all black then.
i’d really like to try pe h1, but i’d be even more excited about an ffg lc200n df2.

I bought a voyager vaquero xl se at a pawn shop for $35. It was in good condition too. Love the stonewashed look of the blade.

Everything else about it though is just rediculous.
but ridiculous in the best possible way.

Re: All black Dragonfly Salt...one step closer?

i’d love a coated df2 salt. i’d even take it in a yellow handle with coated blade and hardware. it would give me an excuse to get a pe salt in h1, which i’ve been wanting to try. fwiw, already having a df2, i hadn’t planned on ever buying another and would opt for a lil native instead. this is proba...

Re: what others are you excited about from shot show?

i got the gerber prybrid utility about a week ago and have really enjoyed it. it’s got me breaking down boxes that don’t need it just for fun. i do agree with reviewers that say it would be nice to have a pocket clip, but i usually just keep it in my bag anyway. if i needed a utility knife often eno...
