Re: Where is the Urban Coyote?

Thanks Cap'n for the excellent array of photos. Got my two today :D If I was to nit -pick: Both mine came with the slight burr in the hole as described earlier in the thread, the jimping and overall f&f is functional but not as refined as on the Elmax version. The tips sit a little higher than I wou...

Re: Where is the Urban Coyote?

As stated earlier i think my Urban is a well build piece. Maybe i am not judging it the right way and don't see the shortcomings? I have uploaded a few photo's so you can judge for yourself. Hope that if you have one (or more) coming in the mail you will be reassured of the possible build quality. ...

Re: Where is the Urban Coyote?

Where did you order them? Here: http://com2you-biwak.de/ But they are out of stock now... :o
Ugh, the price... But hey, no wait and no struggle with tax & customs - good for you! I took on the struggle... ;)
Yeah, the price was a bit salty in comparison, but I was impatient ...

Re: Where is the Urban Coyote?

Just got email confirmation that two are are their way to me from Germany :D Hopefully they are just as good in fit and finish as my BB Elmax Urban (which has excellent f&f). I'd be disappointed to get knives whose finish and fit wasn't up to usual Spyderco QC. Fingers crossed...

Re: Where is the Urban Coyote?

Any one have any news on when Heinnie Haynes, Lamina and/or other main European sites will be getting them in stock? Been and gone at Lamnia! I ordered this morning from Coutellerie Tourangelle, who say they’re in stock. Thanks. I had a notify me request in Lamina. They didn't  Managed to plac...

Re: Where is the Urban Coyote?

Yep, playing an active part in the community coming together for this knife to happen gives it a special importance for me. Having seen the short vid on GPKnives, I'm chuffed with how it looks in the flesh. I agree with Doc, it looks the business. It will instantly become my favourite Spyderco, and ...

Re: Urban Coyote pops up in Europe

A few days ago Lamina we're showing arrival of stock in July but now aren't showing a date. Wonder what that's about?
Seems a few have been shipped to (mostly US?) shops in low numbers but they're not on general sale yet?
Sad face in the mirror.

Re: The Species ( or type) Of Spyder That Hooked You?

Urbanmoose, are they difficult to find in the UK? I know the restrictions on locking blades and didn't know if that made finding them more of a challenge. Hi bearrowland. There are a few sites here that have a range in stock. They are definitely not commonly visible in bricks and mortar shops. But ...

Re: The Species ( or type) Of Spyder That Hooked You?

I had previously learned of the fabled Spyderco Endura on BB, but being in the UK, I was not hooked until the original G10 UKPK. I watched it being birthed on British Blades and bought one as soon as they came out (was it really that long ago?). It was the UKPK that really started my 'modern knife' ...

Re: The Wire Clip: express your love, hate, indifference

I prefer the wire clip over the standard as it is deep carry and unobtrusive, but prefer no clip over either, as I find clips get caught on seat-belts and such.

This is the knife I am most hoping for.

I am kind of bummed that it was not amongst the first releases and I have not even seen pictures of it in the wild.
Took the words right out of my mouth. The wait is killing me.

Great idea. But the LB is very nice. So sad it's unlikely we'll see these on this side of the pond :(

Re: G10 UKPK officially makes a return! Heinnie Haynes Exclusive

It would be great to see more color and steel options in g10! If anyone from HH is reading, a drop point with brown G10 would be a nice nod to the Stretch! Hi Steelcity, Glad you finally got it it. I was beginning to think there was a problem? Also glad you like it. I think it's probably the best U...

Re: UKPK: Drop point or Leaf?

Another vote for the drop point. Less bulky in the pocket, more discreet to the eye, useful belly without sacrificing the benefits of a pointy tip. Still kicking myself for moving on my G10 DP way back. I'm waiting patiently for a wood and titanium, or a coyote G10 sprint run in Elmax :D

Re: Musing on slipjoints...

One of my biggest knife collecting regrets was letting go of my drop point G10 UKPK. Seeing your G10 drop point brings a pang to my heart. Such a great knife.

Ps those orange scales really pop. I cant recall having seen orange frn UKPK scales before.
