Re: Forest Green CTS 204p Para 2
I just parted with my Para 2 in this configuration. I have two of the militaries though. Its without a doubt my favorite color combo. Would love to see another run or pattern variations. I had heard during the REC exclusive chatter that the 204p steel was hard to get for manufacturing and that some ...

You might have a look at these. I don’t have one personally but I hear good things about their products.

Re: Para 3 with CTS 204P River's Edge - New Shipment
I'll do business with REC in the future, I've had nothing but good interactions with them. Let's be realistic here, they could just as easily had a slow-seller like the Delica exclusive at St. Nick's Knives. It isn't always easy or obvious to know what the market will go bonkers for. When this firs...

Re: Para 3 with CTS 204P River's Edge - New Shipment
People are bound to be angry as is their right. I didnt participate in these shenanigans and I’m sure the folks at rivers edge are a fine bunch to deal with. However the constant shift in strategy is what is driving people over the edge. Advertise then oversell, the website technical issues aside,pic...

Re: Is Everyone Sleeping?? Burled G10 Manix 2 is Out...
I love the manix design and blade shape but in reference to the scales “thats a face only a mother could love”. But on a positive note it’s not that spyderco hit a home run but that they took a swing that counts.

Re: why no buy, sell, trade section?
I love that this forum Does Not have a buy, sell, trade. Kind of boring seeing all the post on BF where they ask an astronomical price (sometimes) and then have to multi post about lowering or withdrawing. I find this forum to be incredibly informational and supportive towards the knife collecting/usa...

Re: M4 Para 3 Jade G10
Im waiting on a DLC run. Outside of some old CV Case knives the patina thing is just not for me on modern folders. Which is where i feel like an uncoated tool steel blade is headed. But some really dig it so more power to them. Zero complaints on the para 3 fit and function though its by far one of ...

I would wait for a sale or coupon code and seek out a para 3 or a native 5.

Re: Had you bought it first...
First spyderco I bought was an s30v digicam military with a black blade. First impression after carrying mostly small singleblade lockbacks by gerber, buck, etc was “Holy Foxtrot, this is a pocket sword!” I sold it because at the time i thought it was too big. That lead me to a native which lead me ...

Re: What is your favorite/most used lock type?
I voted compression and CBBL because they are both easy to use one handed and the CBBL has a very satisfying snap as that spring moves the ball bearing into place.

Re: A dream...in red
I would probably do the scale swap and create a unique "FrankenSpydie" using the S110 or M4. Maybe even consider stonewashing the blade and hardware to give it a really unique look! By the way, I like your username. :) -Michael Thanks, My parents were from Houston,TX so its a phrase i hea...

A dream...in red
So I stumbled upon a set of the red PM2 scales from the DLT exclusive and promptly snagged them. So now the question is two fold. Do I cobble together a more interesting EDC like scale swapping a Blurple S110V or Jade/DLC M4. Or are the scales themselves worth more than the $50 i gave for them? What...

Re: Newbie - Sell me a knife Sliverax versus Shaman... or other?
welcome to the forum, since we will all offer opinions both biased and accepting. Two of spyderco’s most popular choices by far are the Paramilitary 2 and Manix 2 both being useful and durable and medium size for most folks. But as an added benefit they do have larger counterparts as the Military an...

Re: How to oil non-stainless steel?
Depends on a couple things. For most cases a light coat of froglube or your lube of choice is sufficient. Some forum users have reccomended mineral oil because it is food safe although I believe Frog lube is non toxic. The other thing is enviroment if these are just to be stored in a safe or box one...
