Re: Forum Update/Maintenance & Move - PLEASE READ

Performance of the forum on mobile is awful. I’m using Chrome on my iPhone, and there’s like a 10s delay (sometimes longer) for anything I click on that navigates to a different forum page; however, links to external sites open immediately which is why I’m thinking it isn’t a connectivity issue on m...

Re: Street Bowie sheath dulls edge.

I second what Vivi is saying. I've never had this problem, and I also draw with slight pressure towards the spine. I also have several of Fred's custom knives, and his kydex comes tight - extremely tight; I don't get edge dulling from those either.

Re: K390 vs S110V - Some Observations

I prefer K390 over S110V as well. I prefer Maxamet over S110V too, but K390 is my favorite of Spyderco's production steels. Rex45 is, of course, my all time favorite.

Re: Looking for a kydex sheath for a Street Beat with a micarta handle

Have you checked with Armatus Carry? I know they make one for the SB, but I don't know if it's the FRN only version or not. I want one of their sheaths for my SB. I have several of their sheaths for other knives, and the guy does solid work and makes a tight sheath. Even if he only had a sheath for ...

This poll is missing an option for "None" - like others that have spoken up, I'm definitely not interested in a new Caly Jr. sprint.

I voted kick, because that's what the Delica has, and it's perfect and doesn't need to change.

Re: What watch you're wearing?

The only watch I'm wearing lately is that new Apple one - the Ultra 2, I think it's called. I bought it less than a week before they banned it. It's ok; I like the workout metrics to help show me I'm making progress.

Finally got to watch the final episode- just finished actually.
Pretty good! I just wished Russo could've survived.
He was my favorite of the whole series.

Re: A New Thread For Axes, Hatchets, Hawks & Other Striking Tools

Dang, I love that. Kind of reminds me of the TrackerDan/Winkler/RMJ mini tomahawk designs...of course theirs are "tacticool" and totally impractical, but yours looks like it would work quite well for its intended purpose. Love it.

I am really excited for that M2LW 15V! I'm going to have to be johnny on the spot when that one drops. The Sage 5 in Rex 121 is also killer, but I might wait for a different Golden model to try to nab that...also why the ugly Burnt Orange again? :blech:

Re: gray G-10 CPM-Cruwear... delica?

I love the Delica, but I already have an FRN cruwear Delica, and FRN is better than G10, so I’m not sure if I would bite. Maybe just to have a g10 Delica? Idk, but I haven’t bought the Stretch 2 XL in this configuration yet, and I can say with absolute certainty that if they make an FRN version of t...

Re: Why don't you Baton?

To baton risks breakage and edge damage. Certainly you will rapidly dull the edge , I would say that this doesn't match my experience at all. If the log I baton through has a pile of dirt on the end, and if I don't brush it off beforehand, then I could see the edge taking some damage or dulling; ho...

Re: Delica 4 in 2024?

The Delica 4 is my favorite knife. Great ergos, great geometry, great handle material, great blade steel offerings, great colorways. I have 2-3 of each variant I've bought - mostly sprints. I like to give them away to friends and family. My all time favorite was the SuperBlue Delica 4. I gave that o...

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

I have the CF/Magnacut Benchmade TaggedOut in pocket a lot lately. I'm not crazy about stainless, but the geometry on that thing is insane. I'm going to have to pick up the original in cpm-154, and the s45vn sprint if I can find it to test. Too bad the s45vn has thumbstuds (ugh!)

Re: I don't give a #@$! about stainless

I guess I'm just a tool :winking-tongue, because I don't value corrosion resistance in my steel preferences at all, but that's because I enjoy a good patina (to help cover up the scratches from my shaky hand sharpening). However, I do value the innovation which is driven by the need for improving co...

Re: Street Beat Discussion

We already have one of the Seki makers that is producing a K390 fixed blade (the Enuff 2, and it’s awesome!!). I think a Street Beat LW in K390 is the logical choice for the next enhancement of the model. It’s also probably the only one that has any chance of being produced. I recently picked up a ...
