VG10, Liner Lock, PM2?

I think this is "supposed to be" a PM2, though it doesn't say "PM2". It is marked & listed as a Spyderco, VG10 steel, made in China, button head screws (not countersunk), even looks like a tiny bit of a sharpened swedge, and looks like a liner lock Link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Spyderco-pocket-Knif...

Re: Community Sharpening Journal

So between ViVi, and Joe Calton, I started playing around with "courser" edges last year. I Absolutely Loved the aggression that the 325 grit edge had on any, and every knife I put it on. Continuing to follow ViVi's lead, I stopped by my local HF and grabbed the 4 sided diamond plate sharpener yeste...

Re: My Delica Collection (long)

Cool collection of a great model of Spyderco. Off the top of my head, and a quick internet looksie says, Spyderco did make a AUS-8 blade steel Delica. I didn't see that on your list. Out of curiosity, do you have the serrated and plain edge both, for the ones you have? Also, there are, or were, sabe...

Re: Vivi's Knife Videos

I appreciate the warm welcome from you and everyone else. I know I left pretty abruptly around Christmas. Wasn't sure how I'd be received if I came back. Checked in a few times over the first half of 2020 and was surprised I was missed. I guess in between being argumentative I made a decent post on...

Re: Fake Dragonfly 2 ?

His other auction is fishy, says his PM2 came with green scales and he swapped them to camo. I'm not aware of a green s30v PM2 ever existing. The box indicates a black PM2, either way, I'd avoid this seller. Agreed on the "fishy". I didn't even check to see if the seller had any other listings. The...

Fake Dragonfly 2 ?

I know the counterfeits, or fakes, out there can be really, really hard to tell apart from legit/real ones. What catches my eyes on this, are two things. 1) Knife is listed at "brand new", but there is no pocket clip. 2) The padding in the package/box (looks like some kind of cotton balls). Link: ht...

Re: what is this?

Gotcha, Thanks. That's what I was thinking.

Though I did have the passing thought of, "I wonder if the dyslexic person who 'got' etched the steel type, is still employed?"

V10 steel! I laughed right out loud when I read it

Re: BladeHQ M4 Manix XLs

Pretty cool how many of us are like, "where's Vivi? This is one of his favorite knives. I hope he gets one of these."

Me being among one of those many. And I hope he lays that bevel back with an extra-course, de-burrs it, and leaves it at that - which was one of his preferred ways.

Re: Going to the SpyOpera.

I’m really interested.. but can anyone explain who’s going to be manufacturing it? Spyderco or lionsteel? I’m particularly interested in who’s heat treating the blade... Good point. I imagine that LionSteel is doing everything including heat treat. The knife is made in Italy and the steel used is f...

100% Agreed, lol. I'm putting it up here, NOT because I'm considering buying it, but because I want to make aware. I'm 99% positive it's all garbage/counterfeit/fake - again - I agree with what you wrote. I recently read where, I think it was TazKristi, posted about putting the links up to fakes/sus...

Did someone buy it, or did the seller just end/move it? I ask because right under the original "ended" listing is the EXACT same thing. https://www.ebay.com/itm/SPYDERCO-Delica-4-Assisted-Flipper-Flat-Ground2-7-8-BLUE-0350-Plain-JAPAN-NEW/313044518202?_trkparms=aid%3D555018%26algo%3DPL.SIM%26ao%3D1%...

Subject line says it. Is this a fake Rubicon? To me, it looks like it is based on the bit of looking I've done on-line.
