Re: KC Exclusive Shaman Rosewood REX 45

I love this exclusive! I went back to my original g10 shaman to compare, and it's made me love these scales even more. They're lightweight, durable and grippy... Everything the Shaman needed! I still love the g10 version for the "hand feeling" weight of the materials, but the KC one is a knockout. B...

Re: KC Exclusive Shaman Rosewood REX 45

Can somebody enlighten me why people are commenting saying the scales are "cheap". I doubt getting the contours just right on these is anything but easy. If I recall correctly many users basically said the same thing for the initial Shaman. "200 bucks for g10 and s30v too expensive, pass". Now you ...

Re: KC Exclusive Shaman Rosewood REX 45

Hello everyone it's been awhile, hope you all have been doing well. I caught this forum just in time to put in a preorder. I appreciated the email that Knifecenter sent out regarding the scale' material. It did not change my opinion on the knife, and since I missed out on the Crucarta / slept throug...

Re: How was your 2019?

Man 2019 definitely has been a "growing year". Like a lot of folks here I also thinned out my collection, I really only wanted to keep what I loved and actually used. I made some excellent trades on the side through the FB forum, and made a couple of people happy which always makes me he happy. Surp...

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

I agree with what everyone said about the whiners... To my knowledge it is impossible to get everything you "want" in life. Yall should be happy that the market demand is there for Spyderco to experiment with new models, and sprints. Clearly the crucarta Shaman was a massive successful. This can onl...

Re: CS Para 3s

Just received my satin and I am beyond impress. I've been wanting a Para 3 for awhile and waited for the right combination... The m390 variant was tempting but I feel like I made the right choice. Tight lock up and drop shut action out of the box. Thank you Sal, Eric and the entire Golden family you...

Re: CS Para 3s

Hey everyone,

Out of curiosity how quickly did you guys get your orders?

I put mine in on Sunday for a Satin, and it is still processing / has not shipped. I can imagine they must have a large influx of orders to go through!

Re: How Spyderco came out on top

Spyderco is on top because they have sooo many products at even more price points! I truly believe they make something for everyone, and the friendly people at Golden stand behind their products 100 percent. My favorite Spyders: 1. Tenacious - It was my first Spyderco knife that I got as a gift and ...

Re: CS Para 3s

Woohoo!

Just snagged the Satin version, I'm very excited been wanting to try a Para3 for awhile. Both versions are still available, I appreciate CS releasing this exclusive in waves. Gave everyone a fair shot, and there seems to be a descent inventory.

Still want the Crucarta Shaman though...

Re: Shaman Cru-Wear Sprint Run release ?

Hey everyone it's been a long time, Having watched all the hype from a distance I think it is time to commentate. I remember early on in my forum days I was ecstatic about my DLC Shaman, but at the time the model was not "well received". For pretty much the reasons people stated here: "the some of i...

Long Term Maintenance Suggestions?

Hello everyone, Hope you are all having a relaxing Sunday evening. Today I come to the forum to ask: "How do you maintain your knives that see infrequent use". I usually have three, or four knives that see regular and continuous use. The rest sit in a drawer in their respected boxes, and plastics (u...

Re: A Spyderco "Throwing Pocket Knife".

Also, the "throwing" feature of the knife id exactly that. I wanted something with some heft for penetration and is durable enough to withstand such abuse. But as everyone has said, it'll probably have to be a one in a million throw. I wouldn't expect to stop someone completely, but if you have a bi...

Re: A Spyderco "Throwing Pocket Knife".

I'd much rather have someone attack me with pepper spray than a knife. Criminals won't attack you with a knife unless they want to murder you, they try to intimidate you with it instead. If someone wants to kill you, they won't be coming visibly or giving you any chance of fighting back. Why does a...

Re: A Spyderco "Throwing Pocket Knife".

Look at the history and role of law enforcement during early union activities, the role of the police in the South during the Civil Rights movement, fast forward to the Chicago DNC riots and excessive police force, to modern police over reactions and deaths of innocent people. They ain't for you fo...

Re: A Spyderco "Throwing Pocket Knife".

the idea wasnt bad but i guess i would have to agree with sal a pocket rocket and a few marbles would work decent but i still think you would mostly get their attention turned toward you. running up to them from behind with a knife would be probably would be the most useful way of using a knife on ...

Re: A Spyderco "Throwing Pocket Knife".

Thank you all for your civil comments, and experience. To clarify my idea, the "throwing feature" would be more of a last ditch effort than an initial response. Being a pocket knife I suppose it wouldn't have the necessary stopping power, but maybe it could have the penetrating power. I agree things...

A Spyderco "Throwing Pocket Knife".

Hey all, hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their weekend. I am here in beautiful northern Portugal visiting relatives, and couldn't be happier. With that said the news over here has shown three different mass shootings across the US in less than a week. Without getting too political this post...

Re: Users, Collectors, and Social Media Madness

Great replies all around, and it's mad me reflect on my own experience.. I am definitely in between. I have at least two knives that have never been pocketed, but every other blade sees pocket time but the use varies. I hard use the hell out of my bushcraft for example, but my pm2 gets mostly medium...
