Slysz Rat https://i.imgur.com/4UtVcL3.png https://i.imgur.com/YYIttUr.jpg Sorry for profanity but **** yes! I’ll never ***** about the mantra pivot again if you make me this Sal. Plz don’t use the mantra pivot on this when you make it. I'm assuming that's a mock-up. Looks like an upgraded pattada. ...

Re: Reinhold Rhino Update
I just got mine. Looks good! One question . Is it me or is there two detent balls? One on the compression tab and another nested in the pivot on the other side. I'm assuming this 2nd detent ball prevents free dropping blade. Anybody open her up yet? I think it's more of an internal spacer pin. Sinc...

Re: How can you like FRN but hate FRCP?
the sanding route seems like a really bad idea. if this plastic really hurts your hands that bad, you probably shouldn’t be using your knives for whatever it is you’re doing or you should toughen up your hands a little. i really just can’t imagine them being this uncomfortable to anyone. On my LW m...

Re: How can you like FRN but hate FRCP?
Anybody think a rough grit sanding would help with grip on manix frcp? I've often thought about giving it a try.

Re: Your favorite/“the best” Paramilitary
I got aramis non grand carbon fiber scales but I wanted grand line that was not in stock. I don't regret the regular cf scales. There really nice. What did you use for the CF background? I wrapped a wood table top on a rolling tool chest in a vinyl wrap for cars. Cheap on Amazon in various lengths ...

Re: Your favorite/“the best” Paramilitary
I'm more jelly than a KY factory right now. Where'd you get the scales for the one with the satin m4 blade? ****, list all if you don't mind. I want to expand my pm2 collection! Thank you, that’s very kind! This pic is a few years in the making, and it would be difficult to pull it off again given ...

quote=adamweld post_id=1241584 time=1529564364 user_id=34223] Wonderful scales. Are they from aratech.ru? Also is there anywhere one can purchase OEM scales? I'd love to throw some jade scales on the cruwear that's on its way to me right now. [/quote] Yup. Found him selling this in Amazon. He makes ...

I actually likes the smooth g10 but I'm a carbon fiber junkie. Found these round contoured smooth matte CF scales from Aramis.

Re: Anybody know if Spyderco will sell you a pair iof scales?
Aftermarket scales might cost half of the cost of a new knife. Just buy the second knife. Have 2!
I just bought my first aftermarket scales for pm2

Re: Your favorite/“the best” Paramilitary
I think the "best" one is the one you use. It's the "best" model because it comes in almost any color or steel that you want. I favor the Manix 2 models and they have almost the same variery. The other great thing is all the aftermarket customization support. My favorite is this ...

Re: Why no DLC on more carbon steel knives?
Would corrosion under DLC be about as likely as corrosion between laminated steels? HAP40 and SUS410, for example? My understanding is there's no way to get corrosion under a lamination between steels. I think this is the best way, but expensive way to give carbon steels some protection. Some Maxam...

"My next knife purchase is probably going to be the gray Manix exclusive with the DLC 52100." I wasn't aware of this! that sounds like something I'd be interested in It's a beautiful knife. The all black hardware and liners makes this knife visually speaking. https://i.imgur.com/PhCdjuo.j...

Re: Why no DLC on more carbon steel knives?
The parts where corrosion might be a bigger problem is in the pivots where you can't see and where there usually isn't any dlc coating. I have a 52100 dlc coated manix2 I don't like to get wet. And worse is the pinned Maxamet that you won't ever know how it looks inside.

Re: KnifeCenter Exclusive CPM-Cruwear Paramilitary 2
My knife looks great except some loctite under the clip. I thought I saw that posted in another post on this thread but I couldn't find it. What is a good solvent for the loctite that won't hurt the G10? Thanks Is this under the original tip down factory clip location after moving it to tip up? I t...

Re: KnifeCenter Exclusive CPM-Cruwear Paramilitary 2
I've become a big buyer if mxg clips. And they're always in stock. This is my 2nd favorite version (deep carry). They have a slightly less deep cary that fits flush with edge on pm2 and Manix 2.

I agree open blade play is the only concern. I think most if not all of mine have play while closed.
