At my old school (9-10 building) nearly every month someone brings in a knife. Once some one even bruaght in a rip off Vaquero Grande. Somehow, I dont think the law stopped them from getting them in. They where caught for dealing drugs from the lockers.

I'm considering a lansky diamond system, or diamond stones for my sharpmaker. My current dillema is: Lansky is harder to use with large and or oddly shaped knives Sharpmaker diamond stones are not availabe X coarse. I am really considering the lansky, but would like to know how well it holds large b...

I love that Guardian. I have a S&W HRT Boot Knife (an exact copy of the Gerber MK1, but with a blood groove) Problem is, as of now, all my knives are dull. Not one is sharp, although I have made alot of progress with some 220 grit sandpaper on my sharpmaker.

Its all crimes. At least his was out in the open. Think of all the b*tches who commit crimes behind closed doors, or under a veil of immunity.

Yeah, but I dont think anyone gives a f*ck if he has a record. Lots of people commit crimes during there life. Jaywalk? You are a Criminal. Enter a website or phone conversaition you do not have permission to? you are a criminal. Lie about someone? You are a criminal. Find a wallet and keep the cash...

Thats the only downside to the Sharpmaker, IMO. If you cant afford the diamond stones (I cant) Buy some 120, 220, and 320 grit sand paper and use that wrapped around the stones for reprofiling. Go from lower to higher grit, then brown/grey stone to white. Near the tip use only the flats, as the roun...

Awesome knives. I just got done sharpening my Bowie. I brought the edge down to a 20/20 polished razor sharp edge (on the flats of the white stones). I sliced through a water filled can with out even nocking the base of the can down. The sharpmaker may be slow at reprofiling (I used 120, 220, and 32...

Why was the Ronin discontinued?

It seemed like an awesome knife, and was one if not the only defensive fixed blades from spyderco. It was also one of the only full tang models. The Yojimbo seems like a good folding version, but sometimes one might like the extra speed and strength of a fixed blade, with the same awesome shape and ...

Mr. Talmadge, I was refering to the mid range models such as the monochrome, griptilians, etc that use 440C and equevilants like N690 compared to the endura, caly and delica. Sorry I did not make that more clear, as there are certainly BMs such as the TSEK and AFCK that have great steel and there ar...

BM and spyderco have different niches. Spyderco has better steel and stronger construction(Spyderco's handles and locks are simpler, thus making them more "murphy proof") while BM features stronger locks(axis) and better fit and finish (assuming we are talking about mid range knives). NO CO...
