Re: Chris Reeve Knives

They've held out longer than most manufacturers without any price increases. I don' t like it, but I get it.. the cost of literally everything has risen substantially over the last few years and CRK can only go so long without having to pass those costs on to the end user.. I'm seeing quite a bit of...

Re: Best Knife For Opening The Next Knife Box

Normally, just whatever knife I have on me will do the job.. but today, this seemed appropriate.. What is the knife you used to open the new one with? Looks great, I love red g10. The Heinnie Haynes exclusive leaf shape UK Penknife is freeing the new HH exclusive drop point UKPK. Thanks Foehammer! ...

Re: HH UKPK drop point exclusive. NOW DROPPED

Mine arrived today and is as excellent as my first HH exclusive.. even bevels, excellent f&f, well-centered. I really like the DP blade shape. All-around awesome little knife. https://i.ibb.co/27tNmrb/ukpk2.jpg Took one week total (even with a holiday thrown in there) to ship from overseas.. no ...

Re: HH UKPK drop point exclusive. NOW DROPPED

Verifying my age by submitting video of my face to be analyzed by AI was a little unnerving , but I’m sure it will be worth it. With the change in exchange rate, it was the same price as the leaf blade version from 2019. I didn't know what you were talking about here, but I just ordered one and got...

Re: How many knives do you normally carry on you?

Two. A Jester or Manbug loose in my LFP with my keys, and whatever my primary carry knife happens to be on a given day, clipped RFP.

Between my home, car, office, daypack, etc.. there are usually other knives handy as well. As far as actually on my person at a given time though.. only two.

Re: last two Spyderco knives you cut yourself with

For all the knife-handling I do, I very rarely cut myself.. and I've never cut myself seriously (knocks on wood).. the only cuts I can remember are.. PM2 Tanto - I was removing a zip-tie-style tag from a package (i think it was on a backpack or similar).. I was holding the tag in the left hand, the ...

Assuming the goal is to eventually hang on to a girlfriend, maybe it's time to switch up your courting tactics? :winking-tongue

Re: How much of your collection do you regularly use?

I've never considered myself a "collector" per se.. but I've accumulated so many knives over the last two or three decades (with most of them being acquired in the last 4-5 years) that there's no real denying a collector is what I am at this point. I buy all my knives with the intention of...

Re: House of the Dragon

I didn't initially have high expectations, but the premiere was awesome. Reminiscent of the best of GoT. I read an article/interview with George RR Martin somewhere this past week where he said that he had more creative control over HOTD than he ever did over Thrones. If that's true and they stick c...

Re: Sharp Dressed Knives, any Good?

Very good in my experience.. finish is always great, fitment is 100% dead-on accurate.. but.. I've only ever gotten micarta scales from SDK, so I can't really speak to the CF options. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't also be excellent..

Re: How often do you disassemble?

If I disassemble, it's usually for a scale swap, to remedy some glaring issue with centering or the like, or if the knife just becomes exceedingly dirty. I keep compressed air handy and will typically blow my knives out every couple days.. this seems to keep them in good working order for quite a lo...

I haven't exactly kept track, but.. I've scored more than a few difficult-to-acquire Spyderco Sprints & Exclusives thanks to Beau (aka Buddafucco)'s tireless efforts to report in-stock Spyderco notifications in real time on the Forum over the past couple years.. Most recently, the SE & PE Ay...

Re: Exclusive wave 2022

As others have mentioned, I am also of the opinion that the wave of exclusives coming out now have likely been in the queue for quite a while (years!).. as all of the exclusives in the queue are eventually released, I imagine we'll see the results of the "freeze" within the next year or t...
