If you haven’t handled a Millie yet, I’d do so before considering purchasing. It’s a big knife, even more so than it appears in pictures. Certainly not for everyone, and it’s bettee to find that out before laying down a good amount of money on one. That aside, I don’t think the steel choice is going...

If you had to go with just one, probably S110V. If you had a few blades already, and wanted something to compliment / new, Maxamet would be my choice for edge retention, Cru-Wear would be for toughness. New around here so I apologize if this has been covered but what issues have there been with the Maxamet steel? Contacted a dealer about the PM2 and they said probably not until the summer due to figuring out a few problems.
