They are perhaps the most important and underappreciated part of the CJ system.

There aren't many who could do that job and not many in that category who would.

Imagine being locked away with all those who make headlines for heinous crimes and while outnumbered to boot. A lot of them (convicts ...

Doc,

I may have some extra body armor laying around in case you need it...

I hope her efforts are rewarded with success. Both of you will be better off in the long run.

Tell to hang in tough.

It's a shame when things have digressed to the point law-abiding people need worry about a word like "police" or "military" being printed on a blade; or that a company with a fine reputation feels it necessary to remove them.

The police model was the very first Spyderco model I'd ever seen (At ...

HoB is right on I believe. I have a military that I've used extensively. There have been times when I thought I scratched the coating but WD-40 takes them off...

The stuff Spyderco uses is very tough. If you want a black blade I think it will stand up under use and serve you well.

Nice P-35 Outlaw!

Mine served me well and saved my life a couple of times. It lives in the safe now.

Used to have a lot of friends that carried them... I'm afraid they've all been replaced by Glocks & Sigs it seems...

I always felt secure when I was armed with a cocked & locked HP...

Go for the Little T, Vincent.

The edge is sharp from tip to the handle. You get every mm of edge to work with.

It's a little knife that feels big in the hand. You wouldn't be disappointed.

Nothing goes as planned in this kind of fight... whether with hands, guns, or knives.

I'd say this is especially true when you didn't know you were about to be in a fight. Hard to look good when you're playing catch up...

The advice Chad and others give is sound.

Handcuffs can inflict serious damage when used in this manner. Sort of a dull but deadly hawkbill... (Sorry Dr. L...) Your friend is fortunate.

You and DW need to be careful in there!

A lot (most) of these people are masters at manipulation and expert liars. Talk is cheap. Examine what they do instead of what they say.

DW,

There's no excuse for putting an employee in harm's way alone. If things were that tight personnel wise, your supervisors should have been on that floor with you.

If they were leaders, they'd have been in front of you...

If he stole your knife, contact a supervisor and file a complaint against him. If the knife is illegal there, which it probably isn't, it should be booked into property...

I wouldn't take it laying down...

Hello Daywalker,

Prayers sent for your friend.

I've been on the "outside" for over 22 years and have survived several very tense, close-up encounters. More than one of them have been deadly.

That said, there is no way I'd want your job. At least I'm not locked away with violent felons everyday ...
