Re: Biggest knife sins?

No real sins for me. Your knife, do what you want with it.

I’ve seen some cringy things people do with their knives though. Sharpening serrations out by treating it like a plain edge comes to mind.

Re: Advice requested on some Rosewood Shaman scale damage

1- Remove damaged scale 2- trim small piece of cardboard to fit in the lockbar recess in scale. Cut it to fit snug so it’s butted up tight against damaged section of scale. 3- mix resin, colour tint if desired, keep mixing slowly and allow it to start going off a bit so nice and viscous. 4- apply ca...

Re: Advice requested on some Rosewood Shaman scale damage

That damage is small enough you could build it to the original shape with resin. You could even tint the resin to colour match if you wanted to. How much does it bother you?

Re: Para 3 lw

I never warmed to my Para 3 LW. My initial impression was great and if it weren’t for a few issues with it I’m sure I’d like it more. Mine has bad detent slop in the closed position, when the wire clip isn’t requiring bending, despite being loctited, the screw for it is coming loose. Lots to love th...

Re: Ideal Spyderco Knives For Lawn, Garden & Landscaping Jobs?

I like to use the right tool for the job and a knife often isn’t the right tool for yard work but this summer the Pac’ Salt in SE is always in my pocket and it’s perfect in that role for smaller stuff. It’s tough, I know it will continue to cut, even if roughly, after abuse, it’s easy to clean and ...

Re: Everyone who wants a fixed hawkbill..

Love how they add the choil 😂😂😂 need a choil for that detailed work when you are slashing an enemy to death 😂 Of all the blade shapes, I reckon an index finger choil makes the most sense on a hawkbill made for pull cuts. It stops that feeling of your hand slipping toward the back of the handle. I d...

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

I’ve got a fever! The Bark River North Country EDC. Black canvas micarta with red liners and A2 steel. The handle is large and comfy. The grind is reasonably thin. The blade has a negative angle and a sweeping belly. The blade tip is nice and low even with all that belly. It is 4mm stock but the th...

Re: Corona Virus, Chinese Origin, Now In the USA

Haven’t had the chance to read through this thread, just a quick post to say I spoke to a bloke today who has family in China and according to them, things are far more serious over there than is being reported in the media. At least in the Australian media.

Re: Forum knife 2020 - final model poll

If , I bought a Forum Knife, I doubt I’d want to use it and scuff it up. So it would sit unused and (eventually) forgotten. So it would have to be something a little special to make it worth while. Non of the knives on the lists appeal to me so no Forum Knife here. :) How about we get about 5-10x S...

Re: Boots.

Been kicking these Olivers around for years. They’ve been the most solid boot I’ve owned. I like the one piece tongue that stops water ingress. Not exactly lightweight though. I’ve had my eye on a pair of Timberland Earthkeepers but can’t find them locally and won’t roll the dice on buying online du...

Re: Forum knife 2020 - final model poll

None of the models listed get me overly excited to be honest. I’ve been going through a dry spell for knife enthusiasm lately though.

Anyway, I voted Chief because that’s the only one I’d really carry.

I would have chosen lc200n too but I must have missed that poll.
