Re: Best Spydie for kayaking and canoeing...
My suggestion would be to try out some knives you all really have. For sailing on my dinghy (looks like a large kayak), I used my delica vg10 for a few years but due to limited use I've been carrying a v-toku2 dragonfly. Something with a short closed length would be good if it's on your waist band. ...

Re: Work gloves
I have never worked in a warehouse but I was a mechanic. Mechanix gloves lasted a couple weeks, snapon way longer. Hyflex a couple weeks but by far the best dexterity. No padding, $40 for 12.

Re: Anybody Else into 3D Printing?
I used the college's 3d printer quite a bit. The quality is greatly affected by the settings of the printer/file. For example we assembled and used Prusa 3d printers. They came with files and settings for trinkets you could print. The trinkets came out better than parts printed on the professor only...

Re: Hello, why do you guys like Spyderco?
They are different. Ergonomics seems to be #1 design criteria. They have wire clip, compression lock, laminated g10/cf, hole, frn pattern, steel choice.
My gripe is you cannot buy a new blade for $25 like bm and zt.

Re: Anti-medicine people really make me sick.
Not every vaccine/medication is worth taking imo. Not not saying you should not get a polio vaccine or stop your schizophrenia meds. After I stopped getting a flu shot (7ish) years ago I had not had the flu since. Once I had a doctor offer me insomnia med that would increase my risk of cancer by som...

I thought this too when I came here (less than a year) but haven't seen any threads mia. The pinned post of shipping of internal parts probably has some complaints.

Re: Grease or nano oil on bearings?
I put 50 weight silicone (rc shock) oil in my mantra 3. It's extremely smooth now and the slight bearing noise or brass cage noise is gone.

Direct because it's a chain of events and when you're spinning round things come undone.

Re: Opinions on VToku
I too am curious about edge retention on the v-toku2 compared to common steels such as 440c, vg10 or s30v. I've read the other threads but ppl only (kind of) compare it to other sprint runs. I hope the Australian YouTube guy does a cut test soon.

Does carbon fiber/g10 laminate and peel ply cf both have the same look and feel besides the edges?

I'd go for an upgraded steel. V-toku2 currently ebay is $89. Same price as the Chaparral (.08 less blade)

Re: Tell Me about The Mantra 3!!
Got my mantra 3 in the mail a few days ago and I figured I'd share my thoughts. Fit and finish is perfect, very smooth and drops shut out of the box. Almost the same footprint as the delica (minus the flipper tab) and just a hair wider. The detent as far as push button, you have to try to hardly pre...
