Re: Get a bug name tag with your screen name for Blade show
New here and pretty new to knife collecting. I am going to my first Blade Show this year and 'd love one of these to commemorate the event. Hook us up!

Re: Fake DF or something else??
Thanks for the reply. We really don't think either of them are fake either. The thing that really threw us was that dot on the back. It looks too precision to just be a left over blemish from tooling. We are wondering now if maybe a previous owner put it there as a way of identification. It remains ...

Re: Fake DF or something else??
There were definitely conflicting answers to his post and some just plain incorrect ones. I decided to ask here and see what we found out. Thanks for the input.

Fake DF or something else??
Hi folks. A friend of mine just acquired two DF G-10 second hand from different places. One in a box, one with no box. The box and packaging seems legit as compared to known genuine ones. Neither of the knives have the extra blade nic to indicate a seond. Centering and action on both are as they sho...

Re: Shipping of internal parts
The CQI on models means that from year to year, minor tweaks could mean slightly different hardware on the same model over time, which would greatly complicate any sort of database. You would need to reference model #, and production date code and Spyderco would have to catalog every rolling change ...

Re: Shipping of internal parts
Most impressive Sal. This is my second thread to comment on. The first was the thread that sparked this one. I am new to Spyderco and knives. My first one just arrived. I am the proud owner of a Sage 5. I admit I was taken aback when I discovered the possibility of not being able to get replacement ...

Re: Taking apart knives
As to Spyderco parts, I agree with the view that if you accept the responsibility of maintaining your knife you ought to have the expertise to do so and to obtain whatever parts you may require without demanding them from Spyderco. Let me offer another perspective on this point. Speaking only for m...

Re: Taking apart knives
There isn't any drama. Again in my original post, I actually stated I wasn't trying to stir anything up. I do take it seriously though. I asked a question that I need an answer to and thought this would be the place to get it. Instead I get a snyde comment about being outraged and maybe I should sta...

Re: Taking apart knives
Sorry. You asked, I gave my view. Glad you are not outraged, seems like many have been over the years. My opinion, and maybe you agree, is that people should be able to run their business any way they want within the laws. Let me just say that the only question I asked, you didn't answer. As I stat...

Re: Taking apart knives
I don't think it's surprising that Spyderco doesn't stock every screw, washer, or watever for every model they ever made. If that outrages you, I encourage you to start your own company. I didn't express any outrage, nor did I say Spydeco should stock every part for every knife. Making the replacem...

Re: Taking apart knives
Hi guys and girls. New to the forum and also brand new to collecting knives. I chose Soyderco mainly because the designs are beautiful and unusual. Most all of the name brand large volume makers use quality materials and workmanship to about an equal level, so the design is what made these Spidies s...
