Re: native salt!

Wife just bought me a Native 5 Salt full serrated for my birthday coming up, was looking for one for a while but everyone seemed to be out of stock. Found a guy selling one NIB and at a discounted price (he said it had a couple marks, but all I notice is 2 very small marks on the clip). I prefer ful...

Re: Veff vs Spyderco

I recently contacted Veff and he told me he now charges $80 for 4 serrations.

I love the look of my R original C67 but I hardly ever carry it, it's just too nice for everyday use. I used to carry my Civilian everyday, lost the first one now have another one but I broke the tip off and it's so worn out now it got replaced by my daily carry Military. I also have a real nice (no...

I think all my Spyderco knives are full or mostly serrated except for the spyderwrench that my wife bought for me, I would have preferred the serrated blade but that is what she bought and what was available at the time, my original Harpy, Rescue with orange handle ( I bought orange at the time as I...

We recently made a trip up to NC and some friends of my wife took us to a place called "Rucker Johns" for dinner, The knives they had on the table were serrated and just touching the tips of the serrations I could tell they were very sharp, felt that way to my finger anyway !! No pics and ...

Anyone have any experience with the Pro-Tech RR1.5 Rescue Response Fully Serrated

I love Spyderco, they are my all time favorite knives, from the original Harpy I had and wore out to the Civilian I lost and than my second civilian I wore out to my daily carry Military. But I really like the look of this knife, Pro-Tech RR1.5 Rescue Response Fully Serrated Edge and wanted to see i...

I use my Military for everything, when I go to junkyards I've cut plastic bumpers, hoses, bundles of wire. Than when I sharpen it I'll sit down with it for about an hour or 2 and when I'm done It can shave hair on my arm even with the serrations.

My Military is my daily carry knife, I don't even notice it when it is in my pocket but it is easy to get to and open, no problem with how the clip is for me anyway.

I won't buy a knife without serrations. I find sharpening the serrated blades so much easier than a plain edge. On knives with part serrated blades the serrated area is easy for me to sharpen than I struggle with the plain edge part.

Thanks all, I got it. I tightened the screw slightly, still opens fine but all play is now gone. The screw in mine is an allen head the bit fit in it tight. I had tried to adjust it previously and thought it did not want to turn, maybe did not try hard enough. Thanks for the replies.

I use the knife hard, cutting hoses and wires at junkyards, I think that has to do with the blade having play, Thanks

Question about Military blade play

Hello, I have a Military and the blade seems to have some side to side play in it, the allen screw is tight, are there some kind of thin shims between the blade and the handle that control movement?

Thanks

on my rescue model with the plastic handle, I removed the pivot and replaced it with a small screw with a nylock nut, it works fine except it isn't the exact same diameter of the original pin. I did this for easier cleaning, at the time I was working construction installing water mains and was alway...

Happy new year to all, (my first post, long time spyderco owner), my resolution this year is to be the best husband and step father I can be to my wife and our 2 girls. Also to continue on my quest to lose weight.
