Benchmade Water Series (salt series?)
Looks like Benchmade came out with a water series using magnacut. Im sure its trying to compete with the salt series from Spyderco. Realistically this should probably be expected from a few manufacturers now that magnacut is out there. Especially Benchmade since they have also done several water kni...

Re: Manbug doesn‘t safely lock anymore
Take it apart. Clean everything. Put it back together. This should fix it unless something is actually broken. The lockbar cutout for the bugs is very shallow. Basically you end up with gunk that gets stuck in there, wont rinse out, and messes with the lock. I had a manbug that would not lock proper...

Re: Chief vs Stretch XL for fishing knife?
Lc200n wasnt available on Seki knives at first. So maybe the same will happen with magnacut.
I prefer my Seki spyderco salt folders with teeth so Im perfectly happy with h1/h2/lc200n and saving some money.
But I would love a magnacut filet knife.

Re: Question about lanyard holes.........
I use them on a few of my knives but most of the time I dont use them. However I really prefer having them. I would rather have the option and not need it than need it and not have it. I dont care about deep carry, theres also aftermarket clips that solve this. Rarely does a handle shape become inco...

Re: Catcherman LC200N Sprint Run
I was also someone who wanted one of these so I picked up a couple.
Ideally I would like a catcherman salt 2 with an updated clip but... it is what it is. Probably keep this in the bag or tackle box instead of the pocket anyways.

Maybe just start a metaphysics discussion in the off topic section. I have a degree in mathematics and minored in philosophy. While I do appreciate these discussions, this one seems to have a lot of arguing semantics.

Re: Native Chief Lightweight!!!
I really wanted to go a full year without posting but whatever. I just got one of these. Just looked at it and adjusted the clip. The dipped part of the clip (lower contact point) does land on the oval part of the handle when the clip is centered (tip up atleast) so technically I would say its not t...

There should be no way that only cardboard did that. Maybe you got one from a bad batch?
Theres a possibility that the knife has a "burnt" edge and the problem would stop once you have sharpened through the current edge.

Re: Manix 2 LW
Just out of curiosity, I wonder why we don't see that many variations/exclusives for the Manix 2 LW. It seems like the Manix 2 is a very popular model and making it lightweight only sweetens the deal. Shoot if DLT Trading released a Manix 2 LW in either OD Green or Tan FRN with s90v/Cruwear/or 20CV...

Re: Who needs a lanyard hole?
I have no use for lanyards on folders. Same. Its a useful option to have and there is no downside to having one. The downside is that it often restricts the location of the pocket clip. The Para series carries poorly because the pocket clip is offset and lower than it must be due to the giant hole ...

...You're mileage may vary, but I can out cut a box cutter by quite a bit. The only advantage I see is if you don't regularly maintain your knives. I keep mine sharp. Box cutters have their place, and they are better at some things. A razor blade always has a geometry advantage. I still maintain th...
