Regarding domestic violence: yes, it is one of the most-feared calls the police can get. Sometime back in the late 1980s, when I was living overseas in Taiwan, I got news that a former childhood playmate who had later become a Los Angeles police officer, had been shot and killed as he and his partn...

Re: A Sad Fact Of Life: Serial & Ritual Killers

Your right to be cautious about discussing religion and I have no desire to pursue the discussion-just pointing out that baseless derision o...

Re: A Sad Fact Of Life: Serial & Ritual Killers

Not much for it- I mean, I belive with advancements in crime solving the instances of prolific serial killers dropped however mass shootings and bombings are up comparatively I would suspect. I will say that the God fearing attribute piqued my interest, as historically that has not been a disqualif...

Re: Disabled Knife Self Defense

I haven’t known any knife to defend itself let alone a disabled one, M4 will fight you a little but throwing rough stones at it helps.

Re: Records.

I’ve just pulled the trigger on a Vm-95e/h audio technica is substantially easier to find locally so that’s a safe bet plus the interchangeable stylii is an easy way to try out some options. It's hard to argue with the quality you get for just a few bucks in the basic A/T carts, but the VM 540ML (l...

They certainly can be pretty woeful if they are abused but that said it adds something when you can pick up that 40 year old LP that’s been looked after well and plays beautifully.

I Actually have just loaded my last replacement stylus for this cart, I was looking at the Otofon red for my next cart however the audio technica carts I’m not totally across so I need to go through and figure out the range. Then as a Bowie fan you are obligated to pick up some Ronson- have to say his solo stuff is very underrated, it’s a real shame.

Re: Records.

There are two older British rock albums I've had for years. One is an older Brit group called the Groundhogs and a couple of their great masterpieces are "SPLIT" and "WHO WILL SAVE THE WORLD". Also another forgotten British group called "Budgie" And STUART that is remarkable that you would have the...

Re: Records.

I’ll see what I can find, thanks JD I like a lot of Mick Ronson’s solo stuff and it’s on my list to pick up- I know Bowie is seen as a really odd guy as he referred to his “characters” in the third person, was smashed on coke for a long while, made some unpopular borderline pro fascist comments but ...
