Not a New Blade But a Request

Sal and Eric, Before asking for something I just want to say that I hope to see you at the OKCA show in a couple of weeks. It's my boys fortieth birthday that Saturday and I would like to get a picture of him next to your table. It will go with the pictures I took of him in front of my displays in '...

Bob & Sal Thanks so much for the update. The Warrior line of knives carries great sentimentality for me as it was the doorway into training for me and the wonderful people I've met through it. Bob, I really miss seeing you at your table at the OKCA shows. You and Bob2 always had such a great tab...

Thanx Mike, I've been looking forward to the Pygmy Warrior after having handled one at the Eugene Knife Show. I have another thread somewhere regarding this topic relating to my disappointment in the delay of it's release. However, I was assured by Greg Walker on the thread that the delay was the re...

Mike, Sanaclous-- Thanx so much for the references and pictures. I have a very soft spot in my heart for the Hobbit Warrior as it is the knife that took me from being a collector to being a practitioner. I had seen the Hobbit Warrior on the cover of a magazine and called Bob Taylor to ask where I co...

Thank you Mike for the pictures. I'm going to have to assume mine is one of the Skunkworks.

Thank you Mr. Sal for the reply.

Sheath For Folding Hobbit?

Yeah, I know it may seem way early to be talking about this, but is it really? I have one of the older original model Folding Hobbits, the one with the release lever located on the front of the handle scale. A real finger pincher that. But I digress. With the knife I also received a minimalist kydex...

Greg, Thanx for the save there. I was wondering who I was going to have to give my money too and ask them to buy me a knife if I didn't get a response. Kinda like the underage kid hanging around the liquor store, " hey Mister will you buy me a bottle...errr...knife?" I totally agree on the...

Not Buying Another Spyderco....

...until we get some word on the Pygmy Warrior or Mini-Hobbit or whatever it's being called. Dagnabit, I saw the prototype at the April Eugene knife show and heard that it would be available around July. Heard something about the sheaths being made right then. Here I am in November, snowed in, sharp...

Any Good News About the Pygmy Warrior?

I heard a rumor at the April OKCA knife show that they might be ready by July.

Any better rumors out there?

Cool story! Glad you enjoyed it. After seeing the drawings I did remember holding and playing with the Claw. Two years ago I was digging through a forgotten chest of drawers that I had found left over from a time that I had put in the basement of the new house we moved to after leaving the old neig...

I met Wayne in '72 and was his neighbor for a number of years, even worked in his shop for a short while roughing out blades for him. When Spyderco brought out the first FRN Goddard Lightweights he had several and I bought one from him. He asked me if I recognized it and I allowed as how I didn't. H...

Chinook Mega-Folder?

God Bless Sal and Eric for coming to the Eugene Knife Show. I've developed a new tradition of walking straight to their table upon entry every year. Not that the Spyderco table isn't already the most exciting table of the show, but this year I received an even greater thrill when I saw the prototype...

Bought a Folding Hobbit and a Sifu when they first came out. Sold them both to a friend of mine. Just got the Folding Hobbit back from him in a trade. The Sifu is a serious knife, but my model had one serious problem, just one finger's worth of pressure on the back of the point and it folded up fast...

? Older Police Model

Well at least it's older to me. I found it when I pulled out a bag of Enduras that I had stored in my knife chest. Can anyone tell me anything about this Police model I have? It DOES NOT say Police on it. It's fully serrated but does say ATS 55. The handle is apparently G10 and is not drilled for an...
