Spyderco C113 Caly 3

An oldie, but a goodie, the Caly 3. I recently dusted it off from my collection cabinet and gave it another round of carry and use. What a superb folder.. https://spydercollector.files.wordpress.com/2020/06/spyderco_caly3_spydercollector_inhand.jpg https://spydercollector.files.wordpress.com/2020/06...

Re: The Final (probably) Three, Revised

I'd go with different sizes, so that'll probably turn out to be some flavor of the following:
- Stretch
- Para 3
- Dragonfly 2

I'm pretty sure I couldn't limit it to just three though...

I'd like to see the Ayoob in a sprint run as well. Or a Renegade or Blackhawk.

Curious to see how those blurple scales will look on a Shaman.
I was thinking the exact same thing, and with that thick handle, that would be a lot of g10!

Re: Golden made CF/S90V SLIPIT’s

Or perhaps there is some of that cool cladded cpm154/s90v steel left for a run of UK Penknives with that steel and a peelply cf handle?

Beautiful knives! I especially like the raspberry one.
I agree, and with the aluminum it gets a very faint 'shine' or 'sparkle' that I can't really catch on camera.

Great pictures! The Ti Salsa is still high on the wish list for me(I'm a sucker for the cobra hood), but you don't see them too often.
Really shows the detail in these knives well and serves as a good side by side between the Al ones and the Ti one :)
Thanks!

Re: Shaman Set Up

I echo the previous comments to work with the knife as is for a while. I feel an improvement in the action in most if not all my spydies after a few weeks of use.

Spyderco FB05 Temperance

I recently found some old video from a few years ago, of my Spyderco FB05 Temperance. This is truly a classic Spyderco fixed blade design. I edited the clips together and decided to dig out my Temperance for another round of carry and use during this lockdown.

Re: Fake Rubicon? now sold

Judging from the pictures, it looks very off indeed. The flipper doesn't look shaped like it should be, the carbon fiber isn't there in the handle etc... Also, the PIG described a different knife.

Re: 1st spiderco

I'd echo the suggestion to invest in a Sharpmaker, or other sharpening tool of your choice. From the knives, you're considering I'd actually suggest to get the most affordable one and use the heck out of it. That, combined with the sharpening experience, will give you an important advantage when you...

Re: Li'l Temperance 3: A (not so) li'l review

Thanks for the insightful review zuludelta! The Lil' Temp, and by extension the Temperance fixed blades, is one of my favorite design patterns. I squirreled away a back-up version of the LT3 when it was announced to be discontinued. I have patience and look forward to the lightweight version Sal men...
