Re: Mr Blonde's Bunch

Hmmm... How do you keep the scales so flawless if you carry the knives? The lighting helps to 'camouflage' scratches a lot, but I also carry IWB, so I don't usually get scratches from keys or coins in a pocket. Also, the stainless surface an be fixed up if you like with some gentle sandi...

Spyderco Stainless Steel Handles

A few of my favorite Spyderco folders with good ol' stainless steel handles. I still think they have a worthwhile role in everyday carry. https://spydercollector.files.wordpress.com/2020/01/ss_police_spyderco.jpg https://spydercollector.files.wordpress.com/2020/01/ss_police_spyderco_blade.jpg https:...

Re: Rare and Unusual Spydercos

It's not that important to me, really. :) I was just surprised i missed this one totally, never even saw a picture of it :) Well, I did get curious and sifted through all my printed Spyderco stuff, but couldn't find any catalog or flyer to back up my claim. I still think I saw this design as an exa...

Re: Rare and Unusual Spydercos

Was it a sprint? What year was it in the catalog? No, nothing like that. I recall it being used to demonstrate the engraving possibilities at the factory. I went through some pdf's but couldn't find anything. I'll try to go through my paper versions this weekend to see if I can find it again. It mi...

I would have to agree.. :) Is it a custom job? Can't remember ever seeing one of those.
It was done at the factory and I remember seeing this very same knife and design being featured in an old catalog. I like to think this one could have been that very sample.

This is the smallest one I have.

I think it can go even smaller than that - small enough to look like jewellery... ;)

Welcome to the forum! The Stretch is among my favorite user spydies, the ergos work way better for my hands than the Endura.

Re: Para3 LW in m390.. First LW exclusive

I like mine a lot! I'm glad I held out for this exclusive, instead of getting the basic black version. I always prefer a colored handle, the M390 is a nice bonus too :D

The blade is a tiny bit off-center when closed, but everything else is top notch.

I always carry a ladybug/manbug/jester on me, preferrably with some serrations - that's my go-to companion blade.

Re: Unpopular Blade Steels That You Like?

VG-10 is probably my favorite steel. However, with spyderco's consistent thin edges, I can work with pretty much all of the steels offered as the edge-angles usually match up with that of the sharpmaker.
