Re: Which Spidie next? The Taiwanese conundrum

Welcome to the forum! But this is no conundrum at all. First rule of the forums: get them all! ;)

My pick and recommendation is the Kapara. I really like mine!

Re: Bow River and Province Boltaron Sheaths

Nice! With a boltaron sheath, the bow river just became a knife I'd want to have!

Re: Spyderco Knock-offs, "Replicas"and Fakes

I think this Bastion Slice looks an awful lot like a spydercard, with an 'updated' g-10 handle and hourglass clip.

Re: Happy Birthday "Mr. Blonde"

Thank you guys!

My girls got me the best gifts ever, a custom comic book and a custom folder. The comic is a bout me battling a spaghetti monster, and the folder actually works thanks to a pivot and stop pin. They know me so well!

Re: Lil' Native Comp Lock – some thoughts after over 3 months of EDC

Nice review! I prefer the backlock version myself, and I followed that NYPD instructor's advice and got a second one with teeth to carry them in tandem. One of the benefits of being somewhat ambidextrous.

Spyderco Meerkat Countertop Display

One of my most favorite Spyderco collectibles is the unique an rare Meerkat Countertop Display. It's a special display featuring a non-sharpened and chained Meerkat. https://spydercollector.files.wordpress.com/2019/06/meerkat-countertopdisplay-spyderco_1.jpg https://spydercollector.files.wordpress.c...

Re: Sante Fe Stoneworks Spydercos

I have few, the quality is top notch! I was in the same spot, I don't like to wear jewelry but a fancy SFSW spydie does work for me. And I'm pretty sure they do custom orders. https://spydercollector.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/santafespydies_closed.jpg I even visited their shop back in 2011 I think...

Nice shot of a well used khukuri! You could probably order a new clip and screws from the SFO.

Re: If you could only have TWO Spyders...?

I think I'd go with my Stretch in peelply cf and zdp189, and something significantly smaller and lighter like a FRN Dragonfly.

Re: Dragonflies are like popcorn

I'm firmly in the popcorn camp as well, when it comes to Dragonflies. They carry as easy as pocket lint and have all the perfomance features many afi's like.

That would not be for me, as I dislike any type of coated blade.

Re: Spyderco's GOLDEN OLDIES: Your Top 5??

If I keep it strictly to new designs that first came out between 1998 and 2004, that I have first-hand experience with, then this would be my top 5 of that era:
1) C65 Lum Chinese Folder
2) C69 Lil' Temperance
3) C75 Kiwi
4) C83 Persian
5) C70 ATR

Great thread idea!

Re: Collectors numbers?

I don't mind them too much, but given the choice will choose one without a number. One exception are a few knives I bought off a buddy who had a collector number, but that's more a nostalgia thing.

Re: Vintage Military

This one finally arrived today. Fully serrated ATS34 model circa 98. BNIB👍 Nicely centred, perfect lock up ( didn’t even need to adjust the eccentric pivot pin) and razor sharp. This one is like a chainsaw. That's funny, I think I still have that exact magazine. I love seeing these old millies. A M...
