Re: We finally got the UKPK Salt. Thank you Sal

I'm very happy and grateful for this slipit salt UKPK, it should be the perfect travel folder. You could easily cross borders with it and take it to the beach as well. Assuming we get to travel again ;)

I had a Squeak. It's spring was weak. I gave it away.
Ai, that's a pity. Mine are pretty stiff actually.

Re: Li'l PK and Li'l Caly and Li'l Delica?

I'd suggest trying out a Squeak, I think it is -very- close to a lil' Caly3. The cockpit areas (hole location, thumb ramp, choil) of the Caly/UKPK/Urban/Squeak are pretty much identical.

Spyderco C81 Paramilitary 2 2018 Forum knife

Every forum knife is a treat, especially this one . It sees far too much time inside the display case, it needs a bit of pocket time. https://spydercollector.files.wordpress.com/2020/12/spyderco_paramilitary2_forumknife2018.jpg https://spydercollector.files.wordpress.com/2020/12/spyderco_paramilitar...

Re: Spyder Classics: The C-42 Howard Viele

The C42 Viele is an excellent classic. The eccentric pivot (likely only availabvle on later runs) allows you to 'tune the linerlock' and it is also an early 'front flipper'. When the knife is closed the tang pops up a tiny bit and thanks to the sharp jimping you can flip the knife open with your thu...

Re: Looking for SpydieChef feedback

I just found this thread, so here's my humble 2 cents. I'm not a very cricital kitchen cutter, I mainly help out with the cutting before food prep, and cleaning everything afterwards ;). To me, the Spydiechef is a great hybrid: part EDC folder, part folding kitchend knife. For a folding kitchen knif...

Re: Question for JD Spydo.

The reason I got the Jumpmaster 2, is how similar its profile is too the Temperance 1 fixed blade. I concur with JD though, it still lacks a few things to really 'replace' the Temperance, like the handle - but also a full flat grind. The Jumpmaster is still a great blade, just a little different fro...

Re: Tell us about your Spyderco Knife of the Year 2020

I might have to think about it a little more, but the first knife that came up in my mind after reading this thread's title, was either the Bombshell or the Watu. If you twist my arm, I'll go with the Bombshell. ;)

There was a poster "From the top of the world to the bottom of the sea." That was around for a little while, as well as the Critters one with the knives down the side.
I think I have a few of those stashed in my attic, I'll see if I can get them out for a few photos.

Re: How I operate the Compression Lock as a Leftie

With my index finger pressing firmly against the right scale where the compression lock is located, I have a more secure purchase on the knife an...

I haven't noticed a difference yet, but pocket-wear can smooth out the FRN texture - even a tiny bit.

Re: What other cutting tools would you like to see spyderco make?

Title says it all! I for one would love to see some simple Japanese style thread snips or kitchen shears. They’re both super useful tools, and I think giving them the spyderco treatment would make a few simple tools even better. Think of it, thread snips with removable hap40 blades, a copper body, ...
