Re: 2018 Spyderco Mid-Year Product Guide - LIVE!

Wonder if the PM2 Rex45 will be available by end of year. Historically what is the usual release times of mid year announcements?

Re: Steel questions...too many PM2s!

Corrosion resistance better than m4. Extremely easy to bring to very high sharpness. Wear resistance probably between s30v and m4. Those have been my impressions. There’s a lot to like with this steel. Edit: I am speaking specifically about hap40 and assuming we will see similar performance from re...

Steel questions...too many PM2s!

Which is never a bad thing I know. With the new Rex45 coming out I need some schooling. I read it’s like hap40 , but I have no experience with this. Can I get some comparisons to cruwear, S30v, or any other common pm2 version? Specifically corrosion resistance, toughness and ease of sharpening.

Can you post photo of said knife ?
Ive tried to post pics before. Apparently I’m not technologically inclined. The knife in question is on knives plus website under custom mods. Look at the para 3 for a pic. Hope this helps.

Acid washed blades?

Hey guys. May angle for a PM2 for Father’s Day. Saw an acid washed S30v version on knives plus website. I know it probably voids warranty but I do like it. Question is does acid wash increase chance of corrosion later or hurt slicing ability due to tougher surface? Heard acid wash could produce smal...

Chaparral sharpening

Hey folks! About to use my sharpmaker for the first time on my Chaparral. Just to sharpen do I use 40 deg or 30 deg. With it being so thin behind the edge I’m not sure.

Is cruwear similar then to CTS-XHP in edge retention and corrosion resistance?

So would that make Cruwear’s performance/corrosion resistance on par with CTS-XHP?

Cruwear corrosion resistance

Saw the new PM2 in cruwear from knife center. How does corrosion resistance compare to S30v, M4, S110V.....all the other mainstream steels? Hope a PM2 gets released in LC200n!!!

1st Spydie! Thanks Sal

Finally got my first Spyderco knife. Bought the Chaparral FRN for my edc. Couldn’t have come more perfect and even exceeds expectations. Thanks to Sal and his gang for great products. I’ll be purchasing even more this year....PM2 and Native 5! Bitten by the bug I guess. Appreciate all the advice and...

Re: C41GP5 native 5 g10 without liners?

Hey guys I’m late to this discussion. Does anyone know if the linerless g10 Native 5 is thinner or did they compensate with just thicker g10 to make it the usual .43 inches.

Re: Please Sal!

I had idea they removed the liners. Wonder if they posted the new specs on this. Also if it affected the price. $145 bucks seems high for a g10 Native when the PM2 starts at $135.

I’m about to pull the trigger on a new Chaparral FRN. It’ll be my first Spyderco. Wanted my first spydie to be US made but oh well. Will also be getting a PM2 this year. After handling all models I’m really wishing for a sprint run native 5 with compression lock. Lil Native is just a lil too lil.......

Re: Taking apart knives

Hey guys. I’m late to the party on this discussion. I’ll soon be getting my first ever Spyderco with the PM2. The whole time planning on RIT dyeing the camo scales to make it mine. Obviously I’ll take it apart to do so. I realize it’s mine forever doing this. Question is now if I strip a screw (now ...
