Re: Jumpmaster 2 for large hands?

Not sure of my glove size. I'm 5' 8.5" at 220lbs, and it's not a tight grip for me. Plenty of room remaining.

Re: Spydies that U R saving up for

Hey Nap, sorry to here, mate and I hope better days are around the next corner for you, mate. I count my blessings every day and genuinely consider my self very fortunate to be in a position to be able to buy things I don’t need. I know many, many people struggle to make ends meet, let alone have m...

Re: Spydies that U R saving up for

My second Spyderco Province in 4V. The second one, I am going to fiddle with the handles. Might have aftermarket green micarta grips made for it to match my Chris Reeves Green Beret fixed blade. Let us know what you find with the scales. I found a guy who could custom make micarta scales for me but...

Re: Spydies that U R saving up for

I’m fairly impulsive and just buy knives etc. that take my fancy. My saving grace is, I don’t like that many knife designs otherwise I’d be a pauper. Buying knives has always been a fairly expensive enterprise for us colonials and for want of a better word I reckon quality knives are a l...

Re: Reveal 4, What's your favorite release?

I like the Nightstick, but wish that it was a 5.5 inch blade. I have 4 daggers that are around 4 inches long. 2 pairs; a set from KaBar made out of S35VN, and a set from Les George made out of CTS-XHP. We will see. I'm not that in to short daggers, but that is all that is being made. I also have 2 R...

Antnap124, this forum never removes posts that are unflattering. Spyderco is a production company and like all such companies occasionally will let a dud slip by accidentally. However, they stand by their products, which you would know if you weren’t so busy blasting them and had contacted them. Kni...

Re: Best Edge Performance Steel between these choices?

My 90 knives stay very sharp. I don't open many boxes and when I do I use a butter knife or a utility knife. I buy and carry knives for self defense, and no other reason. Hence my knives do not really get used at all. The only time that I drew a knife in self defense, just drawing and displaying the...

Re: ZDP-189 vs M4 for rainy west coast living?

I'm certainly no steel expert so YMMV.

I'd get something in S110V or LC200N. ZDP-189 and M4 are not stainless. of the two ZDP-189 might do better.

No matter what you buy, dry them off after each use and you may be fine.

Re: Where #theheck Vivi went?

It really is too bad that SEF left. All that I can recommend is join, "Knife Rights" org, where they fight for your rights in the USA to carry knives legally. It's very cheap to join Knife Rights, and if you want to donate more than the $25 to $35 that it takes to join, they will be very happy to ap...

Re: Philosophy of locks

I buy mostly fixed blades. I do not buy a lot of folders, but when I do, I consider lock type as one of the main attributes. I prefer back lock or compression lock, but will also buy a frame lock. The frame lock is the weakest lock type that I buy, in my opinion. I do not buy other lock types if at ...
