I think the idea has some merit. I am sure that a lot of martial artists and police departments would like a Native 5 trainer. I have a Native 5, and cannot "train" with it. I don't train with live weapons.

I don't know how well trainers sell.

Re: How Spyderco came out on top

Spyderco makes a lot of knives that please a lot of people. I found the quote. Sal's Spyderco "problem" if it can be defined as that is that there are too many possible solutions for what Shaman to make. I'd just let everyone haggle and then make them all over time. I cannot afford the Spyderco kniv...

Re: New Carrying Bag? Or Fanny Pack?

I'm more of a backpack guy, and never did find a messenger bag more appropriate/comfortable for my uses. I understand the convenience of a fanny pack more so, but generally prefer a backpack as small and light as possible for the need. Still addicted to these: https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.p...

Re: Military 2. What exactly is going on?

I have one Military in S110V. I very much like the steel, and invested in a Black Bear Sheath that automatically opens the knife when it is drawn. I do not like the liner lock, but it has never failed on me. That said, I'd prefer a better lock, preferably a backlock. I'd even take the same steel, S1...

Re: Down the Rabbit Hole......

My personal favorite caliber for hunting and target shooting is the Win .270 caliber. I've just had the very best luck with that round over the years. Just wonder if any of you guys ever shot a Rem. .22-250 caliber or a Win. .270? I may have. I use to shoot everyone's rifles at the ranges. Those ar...

"You ever make anything yourself?" Don't know if it counts but I worked in construction from the age of 14 to 16 years of age, and made a lot of things as part of a crew. I've done everything from run architectural blue/black ammonia prints, fell trees, lay sod, paint primer on wood, lay flat and ve...

I've been chomping at the bit to do long range shooting. On YouTube I follow ELR shooting and Rex Reviews, but I've never taken a course. It's all very interesting. It's very fun. Go Predators!! I'm a Blackhawks fan too, since my dad was from Chicago. And a bruins fan because my mom is from Massachusetts. And a ducks fan because I was born in California. Haven't watched much hockey lately, I need to though. Used to love playing street hockey, and wanted to play ice hockey bu...

Re: NHL Season is here: 2019-2020

I grew up in California during the ‘50s-‘60s and knew nothing of hockey. In 1975, I moved to Montreal and could not help but get hooked on les Canadiens. What a dynasty! In the passing years, the Gerrit Cole-ization of professional sports has turned me off. But now my 8-year-old grandson is playing...

Re: Well this hobby is about to get more expensive.......

I have the following and they are very nice. They are not fragile, there is a feeling that they are well made, much like Spyderco knives. The leather sheaths are probably the best sheaths out of the 90 knives that I own. I preferred the black micarta scalloped handles. They come wrapped in some kind...

Re: NHL Season is here: 2019-2020

The Blackhawks won last night too, beating the LA Kings. It is too early in the season to know what these teams are going to do, but both of the teams are struggling.

Boston has managed to remain a meaningful team after winning the Stanley Cup a few years back, which is very hard to do.

NHL Season is here: 2019-2020

I'm from the Chicagoland area and played AA and AAA ice hockey as a kid from 9 to 17/18, then reffed for a few years here in Illinois. Spent a few summers in Canada at hockey camp(CanAm at the University of Guelph, and another camp in Pickering). My brother who is 4yrs younger than I am started play...

Re: Shipping costs

I'm in the US and I've purchased mass produced and custom knives made for me in other countries. Sometimes I have to pay for the shipping from overseas, or the knife maker attends a show in the US and THEN places the item in to US Parcel Post for delivery. I don't let shipping get in my way if I rea...

Re: Didn't realize how tiny it BEE

He has a ton of knives, but doesn't edc them, only has them for self defense...which this would be one of the last knives I'd buy for that reason especially for $130!! A carpet knife from Home Depot is larger and it has only a 1 inch blade. These tiny knives are excellent self defense weapons, and ...
