Re: Tanto PM2 Support Thread

This Spyderco Paramilitary 2 TANTO should be a regular production knife, AND another TANTO should be produced for the Military.

But to heck with these sprints, make them regular production knives.

Re: Emerson knives??

I bought three of them a couple of years ago. Nothing major wrong with them, but one had a little bit of lock stick, and I am NOT in any way fond of 154CM or liner locks. If they would use 4V, S45VN, S90V, and frame locks, I'd be all over them. They are unique designs, and the handles are second to ...

Re: Endurance training, hydration and nutrition.

I never did a triathlon. Wish that they were popular when I was a kid in the 70's. What I did do was play ice hockey and ride a bike in a lot of centuries(100 mile rides). As for cycling, almost everything can be overcome by training on rollers, and the right gear choices. The right tires, and wheel...

Re: Flesh Eating Bacteria in Australia? Where Else?

The medical reports for the unfortunate woman indicate the dog licked a cut on her skin. I agree that this case is rare and unusual. That her heart exhibits compassion suggests a great strength in her life. That's really shocking news. When growing up, conventional wisdom was, if you are not near a...

Re: Flesh Eating Bacteria in Australia? Where Else?

The only time that I heard of anyone contracting necrotizing fasciitis is after they came in to contact with a Zip Line. Zip Line accidents have been known to spread MRSA too. Aimee Copeland did not get necrotizing fasciitis from a zip line, but nonetheless got it while zip lining after falling. htt...

Re: Your suggestions please

Mr Scott, I wish you nothing but the best of health, and hope you kick cancer's tail to the curb. I'm not big on small folders, so if it came down to me, the folding knife that I would recommend to you would be the S30V or S90V Native Chief. If it was to be a fixed blade...put some spring back in to...

Re: What’s Your Favorite Underrated Sleeper Knife?

Hundred pacer hands down. Absolutely love that thing. Honorable mentions would be the flat spine stretch and the alcyone. I don't have one, but I also like the Hundred Pacer! That one got away.... The Stuart Ackerman Sustain is Spyderco's "sleep knife." I want another one or two at least. It's as g...

Re: Anyone here with a recent pacemaker?

Has anyone here had a pacemaker put in within the last 5 years or so, or their spouse having had one put in? My doc wants me to wear some sort of contraption for a couple of days to see if I need one. I'll admit to a bit of trepidation about the possibility. IF they even "think" that you need one, ...

I really like this knife. And if I had the cash, I'd get it yesterday! But, I will not be getting one as I'm saving for other Spydercos.

That's all I'm saying....can't tip you off to my mission. Save, Save, Save!!!!

Re: Any cyclists? Vivi? Looking to get a nice bicycle for road training

Just pulled the trigger. Tough finding bikes in stock right now but I located a 2021 Specialized Diverge. Aluminum frame with their “future shock 1.5” system and Shimano 1x drivetrain. I was looking at straight road bikes but after a lot of thought and some of the advice and warnings here I decided...

Great article. 10V looks awesome, but I'd like to throw in that S90V is no slouch either.

Re: Happy Birthday Eric Glesser!

I could be wrong but I thought that according to Sal, Eric runs Spyderco. This dynamic duo are running one of the top knife companies worldwide. The only complaint that I have is that I don't own 300% more of Spyderco knives and that I have not yet met Sal or Eric! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIC, AND MANY MORE!

Re: Unpopular opinions

I look at YouTube videos after I decide to buy. I want to make sure that it is what I want, and to get some up close images of the entire knife. I'm usually right, and I make the purchase. I unsubd from Shabazz a long time ago. I don't have anything nice to say about most of his reviews, so I'll jus...

Re: How important is scale color?

Steel choice and handle/grip are all there is, so I'd say either one of them can break the bank. I'd love to have a Manix 2 XL in S90V, but I guess I'd have to buy it on the secondary market. If you want S30V there are plenty of knives to choose from, but I rarely buy knives, so when I do, I want no...
