We always test at in least two places on a single item, and sometime up to six places. That said, I would neve...

I did a Serrata with one blue G10 scale, and the other side was black canvas Micarta...called it Bruise...

Joe
The length, from memory, was around 5 inches for the blade, from the bottom of the ricasso to the tip, in a straight line.

Re: Everyday Spyders You Use For Culinary/Food Uses?

A Serrata, of course...blitz through raw chickens if you want a quick soup...
Sideways for garlic crushing, and back of the spine for shellfish, breaking lobster claws etc.

Re: Rynite Handles for Spyderco?

The Gerber Bolt Action knife use Rynite for the handle. I traded it for another knife...wish I had the GBA now... It was textured and felt warm to the touch. I dropped it one day, and the corner of the spine was dinged a little. I sanded it with 220 grit abrasive in no time at all. The LST was origi...

Re: Serrata

If it were possible here in NZ, I might think about it.
I used to do 15 Kgs when I started the process in 2006, but that foundry has since closed.

I am not a super steel follower, and if something works, why would I try and fix it?
I am not against progress, just old school I guess?
