Re: Knives going out of stock in Canada?

Good time to BUY. I picked up around 100 awesome Canadian knives built by Canadian craftsmen. Sad to say they are all closing down now. Why would Canadian makers be closing down? These knives are legal to make sell buy carry and export. I don't understand. At the current rate Canadian built folding...

Re: Knives going out of stock in Canada?

I do not believe that this has anything to do with individual boarder agents rather this is a purely political and intentional program being enacted by our government. Companies like Blades Canada can no longer bring in Spyderco for example but other similar knives from China and elsewhere come in e...

Re: Knives going out of stock in Canada?

It appears to me that Canada is running out of stock in both Freedom and common sense. Sorely disappointed Yes indeed I totally agreed. It seems that the freedom's which were bought with blood less than a lifetime ago are to be given over for the sake of not feeling the shame implied by the PC left...

Re: grease for KVT/IKBS repacking?

Here is that I was told by Kershaw Service department. KVT bearings are designed to be run dry. No lubricant is needed and may negatively impact performance by attracting dirt and dust into the bearings. If you have any questions, please email or call. Thank you, Dan Cohen, Warranty Services Rep Ker...

grease for KVT/IKBS repacking?

what is the best type and weight of grease to use when repacking knife KVT and IKBS bearing systems? I assume a waterproof grease but I also wondered about the weight. Obviously with large heavy blades you can use a heavy weight to add some smoothness to the action and small light blades that you ma...

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

Trying to get all the steel varieties of the Manix 2, and waiting on my BD30P and a Cru-ware Blades from Ebay. Haven't pulled the trigger on the 154/S90V blend w/CF or the Maxamet yet. I am also trying not to double up on scales/ blade colors. Just one more thing my wife does not understand. https:...

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

I wish Spyderco would do a clip point back lock, very traditional in design, like the Buck 112 or this Puma Packer. Just got it today. I let the long lanyard hang out of the pocket. Just grab it out quicker than a clip. Getting quite used to it. Like I’m back in the 80’s. Anyway, here it is... http...

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

looks very interesting Jazz, does it stay locked if you open the knife and then give it a wack on the spine, not killer hard just a good sharp tap on the spine? It is a serious looking knife.

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

Those booth look nice but I am especially interested to hear what you think about the Buck 110 lite. Does it still have the feel of a 119 or is it more like holding an Endura 4 with a thicker grip? With those hardy Opuntia you have to be somewhere around Lethbridge, glad you have not been washed aw...

Re: Buck Marksman owner comments/thoughts please...

Late to the party. But I think the build quality is much better than on the Vantage (I assume you got your Vantage Pro by now). yes I thoughtthat I would pass on the small Vantge Pro at first but it has steadily grown on me and the Buck/Paul Bos treated S30V is very nice steel indeed. I have grown ...

Chlorinated detergent. Wine and Beer making shops sell it for cleaning containers and lines, considered food safe with a flush of clean water.

Re: Sharpest Factory Edge?

my Manix 2 S110V came very grabby sharp just begging to cut given any opportunity but my Manix 2 midback lock in S30V was honed a little bit sharper than the S110V and my Introvert in S30V almost as sharp as the midback lock. I would at a guess have to say though that I think that the S110V is a mor...
