I'd love a Manbug Salt, PE. Perfect little knife for ultralight backpacking.

Awesome! Love the new grind and handle color.
If possible, could you let us know which color of RIT dye was used?

Re: Is the Dragonfly Obsolete?
To me, it is. I started out with a DF2, then got a Ladybug, then the Chap. I sold the DF2 because when I wanted to carry a mini-knife, the LB3 was better. When I wanted to carry a normal-sized knife, the Chap was superior. It just didn't really have a place for me once I had the Chap and LB, it was ...

Re: Is the Ladybug worth it?
...am considering getting a VG-10 PE Manbug, but I want a color other than black! You could go for V-toku2 (blue,) HAP40 (burnt orange,) or ZDP (brg). All pretty available right now. The HAP40 supply is dwindling, but should still be around at normal prices. I was hoping for VG-10 for it's cost, ea...

Re: Is the Ladybug worth it?
I love the ladybugs.
Mine ended up taking the place of the DF2 that I've sold because I found that it fits my hand better, pockets more nicely, and is capable of the same tasks.

Re: Post up your Rit dye projects..
Here is my dip-dyed yellow H1 ladyhawk, among my other "lunch-kit EDC" items. I used royal blue liquid RIT, and as expected, the result is a bluish green, similar to BRG. I wanted to maintain some of the original yellow, and there is a pretty noticeable dip line. I'd recommend fully submer...

Re: FRN Delica 4 vs new FRN Chapperal
I was in the same debate - I had a DF2 and it felt like a big mini-knife to me (I still love it), but I wanted to get a small full-knife. I ended up picking the Chappie over the Delica for a few reasons. It's a bit smaller, I like choil, the new FRN pattern is nice and something different, the steel...

Re: FRN Chaparral vs FRN Dragonfly 2
I have both - just got the FRN Chappy and have had the DF2 for a year. Both knives are excellent. In my opinion, although the Chappy is only a bit larger, the DF2 is a "Big Mini-Knife" and the Chappy is a "Small Normal-Knife" to me.. If that makes sense. If you really want a smal...

Re: 2017 - Lightweight/FRN Chaparral
Ended up with the Chappie, and very pleased with it. Design and execution are first-rate, I believe I found my perfect EDC. My DF2 feels like a big mini-knife, the Chappie feels like the smallest possible regular sized knife (exactly what I wanted), and the Delica I held in store felt like a regular...

Re: 2017 - Lightweight/FRN Chaparral
I've been debating on a Delica as my next Spydie purchase for the past while, but this is very tempting, and only $16 CAD more... Love the wire-clip and finger choil. I already have an FRN DFly 2 in VG-10 that I absolutely love; do you think the Chaparral is a big enough of a step up in size to just...
